Nothing really. Figured out that I just much preferred my mechs. If I had to think of a negative, and it's fairly minor, it's that I had to stretch out the spring regularly so it would function properly. Not a huge issue, but kind of annoying with a brand new expensive product. I will never bash the provari, because it truly is a quality product. When they put out an 18650 mech for under $100 I would like to buy 001.

Also known, in Facebook land, as "X1!" I laugh every time I see that. Especially when it's something NOBODY'S EVER SEEN OR TRIED.

It is so refreshing to come see a Provari thread here on ECF. I so miss those days. I was a fan, but it is just not for me anymore. If I am not squonking I am usually epiping. But my Provaris found good homes where they are loved and used. :)

Nope, not a REO fan either.

I think my unicorn is an early pre-teardrop Mini. That is the design I like most. I will just bide my time, and one day it will be mine!

That's quite a unicorn. I've only seen a couple of pictures, but I'm not sure if any are OEM. justinred explained this picture to JJOOHHNN, but I don't know if it belonged to him.

provari_vs_mini-3-jpg.197384

"Left is standard provari V1/V2 with extension cap. Middle is standard provari V1/V2 with stock cap. Right is sawed off standard provari V1/V2 to become provari mini size."

(For those watching at home, the V1 is the V2)

ETA: Below is a link to the other picture I've seen. The comment suggests it belongs to the poster, but it's a mystery where he got it. The thread was when the mini was first released and the buyers all received teardrops. I believe this is a matter for Vape360 to resolve.

I had a provari and it is certainly quality. I do believe that the hype and fanatical following allow it to be more expensive than it should be. However, once I realized it just wasn't for me I sold it at only a slight loss. I would not buy one again, but cannot deny that they are very well made.

People have a lot of unrealistic expectations.

An authentic Atmomixani Nemesis is $185.00.

That's expensive.

A Mark Bugs Wizard Evolved II is $275.00.

That's expensive.

Super T Manufacturing was offering one of their mechs in titanium for, wait for it...

$500.00.

That's expensive.

A P3 is currently $200.00.

That's expensive.

It's expensive to make stuff in Europe and the USA these days.

OTOH, a Viscious Ant Variant Ti will set you back about a Grand, and it's made in Asia, so...

There wasn't a 2nd spring included in your box?

I've yet to mess with the spring.

Yup amusing part is most of the people complaining are holding a $600 or more phone.

People don't care about quality anymore $50 bucks from China? Good enough - its why coffee makers are 8 bucks at walmart, it breaks? Just toss it

I bet big money, provape could release a 50 watt mod tomorrow, and there will be another thread complaining they are outdated for not having tc and .2 ohms ability

I have a BUNN, made in USA coffee maker; had it 5 years. Last of its kind...
They would complain it is too expensive for a 50 watt device...

I'd pay 300 for a provari made 50 watt mOd. That being said, I've heard people complain about the price of practically everything lol.

The naysayers would say $100 is too much for a 50 watt mod...
Yeah. It seems many are even buying counterfeit batteries on eBay to save $3...

I remember tracking the mini when they first announced it, yet I have absolutely zero recollection of a mini without teardrops.

Which mean nothing since I can't recall where I placed my car keys down this morning either. But call me surprised, in either case. Good stuff - thanks!

That would be a bit more relevant if people were holding $600 flip phones. Those $600 phones have replaced everything from peoples flashlights to walkmans to cameras & video recorders to their PC's. Most also get those phones either free or up to $200 on contract. My girlfriend rents her iPhone 6 from Sprint for like $5 a month.

Now there will always be people complaining about prices and I've seen people complain about DNA 40's only doing 40w. But watts are only part of it and there is a lot more that those devices bring to the table. I also don't expect those devices to always cost that much or close to it. Especially when $300+ DNA 30 devices now sell for $75 to $100.

The ProVari price made a lot of sense when it was a newer device. But pretty much all tech drops in price once new stuff comes out. It's wrong to assume vaping devices should follow the same pricing patterns as pretty much every other piece of electronics? After spending a bit of time in this thread though, it's clear to me that the P3 could cost $600 and people would defend it.

And I don't just blame ProVape since the majority of this industry is over priced. Its like the whole business model was built around "cheaper than smoking" since we were spending $2500 to $5000+ annually on tobacco products. I just wonder they can survive with much lower profit margins once Uncle Sam takes his cut. Or is that cost going to be passed onto the consumers? That's my whole issue with this, really because businesses have built their comfort level and bread & butter around an unregulated market.
