1) Yes, see below.
2) It's worth as much as it is to you, if you can live with red that's fine. If you must have Blue/Green then that's fine too. Only you can answer that.
3) NO! I didn't buy it on any of my 3 Provari and actually prefer the 18490/18500 (18350 for the mini) length of the mod. I also personally didn't like that the bottom of the extension cap isn't fully flush like the regular cap.

PS: these aren't my mods I just added them for reference to your question.

1) No, sorry I use the Kanger Protank only, so can't help you on that one.
2) I've got a silver v2.5 with blue LED and I love it. That being said, I'd simply go for the color I prefer, which is what I actually did :)
3) It's not "necessary", but it will allow you to go from a 1100mAh AW IMR 18490 battery, to a 2000mAh AW IMR 18650, which means a lot longer between changing/charging batteries. I've only been using 18650 AW IMR batteries so far, and it gives me something like 18 hours of power on/vape time, before the low battery indicator starts glowing. The 18490 should in theory give you about 10-12 hours of power on/vape time.
It adds a bit of length to the device yes, but also a lot more vape time.

Edit: Oh yeah, here's a pic with the 18650 extension cap, just in case you haven't seen it :p

1. I'll post up pictures of my IBtanked Provari when I get off the couch - looks damned fine (don't know how skinny you mean though)
2. I'm not gonna lie... I bought my first Provari with the kit from Provapes (satin 2.5 + red LED). I bought my second one and I hate to admit it but... well... Solely for the purpose of looking more badass (I have more backups than anyone 'needs') - Black w/ Blue LED.
3. I usually keep mine in 18490 mode. I do have the extender cap but I frequently travel around the globe and sometimes go a day or two without a socket to charge. That said, I rarely use it when I'm home - the 18490 will last you a full day no problem.

Okay last question: is this mod realllly worth all this money? I have an ego-C twist as of right now

If it's in your budget, along with good batteries and a good charger, yes.

ETA: I have a silver 2.0 mini and a silver 2.5 mini. The colors are pretty, but I like to wrap mine and I didn't want adhesive to show on the painted ones. I got blue LEDs 'cuz I think it's purdy ;)

ETAA: That's a ProVari mini with a IBTanked 19mm XL in my avatar.

I like the blue but it's up to you as to whether or not it's worth the extra money. I like it at night time because the fire button lights up blue also. For me, the 18490 battery is enough. It lasts for several hours and I have an extra charged up and I think it's the perfect size and weight. Your needs may be different though. If you need longer battery life stick with the 18650 setup. I bought the mini and I guess it is the same length as the regular if you use the 18490 battery.

The mini with the ext cap is just a little bit smaller than the full-sized with a standard cap. There are size comparison pictures in the ProVari sub-forum.

I have several mods, and my 2 Provari's (a regular and mini) get 90% or more of my attention. I sincerely believe they are the best made mods for the money. Yes, they are pricey, but to me they are worth it. They are extremely well built, extremely durable, they give a consistant vape from the beginning of a fresh battery until it needs to be replaced. These are built to last nearly forever, and should one need repair (even after warranty) Provape will do it for a reasonable fee.

My favorite cartotanks are the pyrex IBTanked. I have seven with five more on the way. http://www.ibtanked.com/

I purchased 2 Mini 2.5s. I did not opt for ProVapes extension cap. I opted for the Twins, which allows me the flexibility of using the 350, 490, and 650 battery configurations.

For myself, the standard red LED is too bright for my eyes. As such, I chose the blue and green.
