Don't be biased and just get both. I use a mech at home since i use a dripper on my mechanical with a sub ohm coil. SOMETIMES I'll bring it with me if I'm not driving and I'm out and about. But a provari is a good device, I think. I love the kayfun/russian on it. Most of the people like a mech for the wrong reasons...BIG CLOUDS, for shock value towards other people because that satisfies them..to show off

I do NOT agree that 'most mech users' are about clouds or showing off. They have been popular as a 'big battery option' for years now...well predating the 'build your own coil' kits. They've also enjoyed a following of users seeking a smaller 'mini or stealth' vaping platform.

Just as one example, the REO has been a favorite in the US for years now. So called 'sub ohm' kits are still much more of an exception than a norm among REO users.

Tens of thousands of unregulated hybrid (some wire and an after market switch of some sort) tubes have been pretty popular as well. I.E. Silver Bullets, Bolts, Sabers.

My first mech (well, hybrid...it's not a true mech) was a cheap Bolt, simply to have a 'low cost back-up' for my regulated APV. It sat in a drawer for a long time...till the Original Evolv Kick came out...then it quickly became one of my favorite and most used and abused devices (definitely NOT for looks or showing off though...it's quite ugly). Nearly 4 years later and it still works.

Who are you to tell anyone what the right way to use their PV is or isn't?

They both have their advantages. Personally, I wouldn't invest in a Provari because they're dated and underpowered for my needs. If I ever buy another regulated mod, it will probably be a DNA 30. I'm waiting to see what Innokin does with the next MVP. Hopefully they'll update their chip to 20-30 watts. The vape world is changing rapidly. They've done a good job updating their mods with user feedback, so I'm hopeful. A 30 watt mod sporting a 2600mah battery would be fantastic.

I agree. ;)

But even the Great Reo has introduced several regulated versions (vv and vw) of their fabulous mod. :)

Where was the part when I supposedly told ANYONE how to use their PV? I said "most". Also you mentioned there was advantages and disadvantages, what are they? All I read from your post was:

- you wouldn't invest in a provari because it's OUTdated
- you love innokin, basically.

And while innokin and other companies will be upgrading did you forget that ProVape might have the ability to update their merchandise too?

That flashlight has a constant current circuit. Mech mods don't have that.

It has reverse polarity protection. Mech mods typically don't have that either.

It has low voltage protection. Again, mech mods don't have that.

I guess this is where you relent on your position?

meh who cares, flashlight can't fog.
