Provari wont fire coil

I rebuild protank heads with 30 gauge kanthal at 1.8 ohms sometimes one will come out at 1.5 ohms. I tried to use a 1.5 ohm build on my Provari mini and it gave me an e-1 code. I scrolled through the menu and atomizer ohms showed low. I can transfer this to my MVP and fire it right up. Any Ideas? Thanks, Dave

If AO shows low it's probably shorted out.

Edit: Missed the bit about it firing up on the MVP. Have you tried lowering the voltage on the ProVari?

Even tho it still fires on the mvp there could still be a short.

E1 is a connection error. Which topcap do you have on your ProVari?



I have not gotten a ProTank to work at all on the old topcap, which is the one on the left. Others have gotten it to work with an aero base. On the new topcap I have no issies.

Sometimes the pin on the bottom doesn't make a connection. You can pull the pin carefully with a paperclip.

You might have it screwed on to tight. I use pro tanks 1 and 2 on my pro Vari and have no problems. If it is not making connection pull the bottom pin out a little bit.
