First build on my kayfun: 3/32 bit, 28g Kanthal, organic cotton, 10 wraps = 1.9ohms
Vaped with 9mg 40/60 sweet tart juice.

At 1.9ohms I still find this to be a bit warmer than I'd like but it is vape-able.
I will certainly be trying another build in the near future.
Thank you all for your guidance, it is very well appreciated!

Looks pretty damn good too.

Edit: I added some menthol to my juice and now it tastes much better.. Even a little cooler (temperature wise) lol.

Edit #2: I decided to change juices and re-wick... Pluto by Space Jam one of my 2 ADV's and now it is amazing. I also tightened the air flow a bit.

Excellent. That's a very good build IMO. You'll have to experiment with your builds. That's the "fun" part of kayfuns. Just remember the warmth or coolness of the vapor has to do with several factors in addition to your coil setup including the liquid itself and the voltage you use for this specific liquid with a certain coil. Enjoy your new toy. It's addictive

PBusardo just posted this today on his FaceBook page:

"I suggested one of my favorite combinations to my brother who has been vaping for some time now and successfully staying off the cigarettes. He's someone who has tried every clearo tank out there and numerous devices. What did I get him into? What else... a ProVari and a Kayfun.

After using it for a week, I thought I'd share his comment with you...
"So the ProVari and Kayfun is the perfect combination. I can only describe it as like banging two hot twins at the same time." "

I build my coils with 30 gage, on a 5/64" drill bit, with a 10/11 wrap, this puts my OHM's between 2.0 to 2.5, I go across the deck like this one, not my pic.

My wick pattern is close to this one, I think the wick over the top, tastes better, also not my pic.

I have been using 28 gauge on a 5/64 drill bit, but have to wrap it around 12 coils to get 1.8 to 2.0 ohms. Could I possibly use 30 gauge and less wraps? Also, is the 30 gauge harder to work with?

Well I was going to get some 28 at some point, but I bought a 100 ft roll, and I am used to building them this way, as small as all these wires, are I don't think you will notice any difference. I did a 9/10 wrap about 3 weeks ago, and I got a 1.9 OHM coil, kind low for me, but used it, till it died today. I will build a new one tomorrow, I think it was Bronze, that I read that he built his this way. One thing I have been playing with lately, is I tried 3mm silica, threw the coil, and down to the deck, then I put the tube on and go over the top like the pic above with cotton. I now have 2 set up this way, I change the cotton once a week, and dry burn the silica, and done. So I get to taste the flavor of cotton, yet still get to just dry burn. :)

I followed Rip Trippers tutorial and had a great coil right off the bat. I find him unnerving to listen to, until he actually starts building, so I turned the sound down until I saw him spread out the tools.
