A lot of your second paragraph is crap and you know it. There are Chinese mods that offer "a smoother vape" that's consistent throughout the battery life and no "rattlesnake" for a fraction of the cost. I'm not dissing the Provari, but I know that you know better.

Can you point me to a few of these other cheaper mods that you are speaking of?

Comparing a Provari with automobiles is worse than comparing apples and oranges.

Insulting a nation in order to bolster ones purchasing choices is considerably worse.

In 23 years of business I never once had to slander another company in order to promote my business beliefs.
I am amazed how many Provari owners, not all, insist on putting down another product in their attempt to justify a Product which by all reasoning can stand well on its own merit.

If believed to be true - This is best because...............................
Does not need to be followed be ALL others, or All China, or ................(fill in) is Junk, crap, or otherwise.

The Ops question was - Provari worth it? Not -what do you think of China or a question about any other products:glare:

I have never ventured into trying a kick so I know very little about it. I actually have a Silver Bullet lying around here somewhere. How finicky is it to do? Does that essentially make my device a VW device like a Vamo? What are the advantages of doing that other than the cost, and if I were to venture into sub-ohm at somepoint would I be able to do so with that? Forgive my ignorance.

Whole house is filled with USA made products only I'll bet.............

Wonder how our Asian members feel reading this crap day in and day out.

My Ford Ranger is USA Made and it is a rusted out POS built from inferior materials in an effort to maximize profit.

Ex-Ford Technician - 40 years Auto industry.

Maybe Provari is the only thing left of quality in the USA............I don't know.

my Provari is in mint condition:

Please not that I already have a silver bullet as well as a charger.

well, that's good,,,,,,,,,how are your batteries? are they decent and relatively new???

you'll need decent batteries,,,,,,

but back to your issue,,,,,,,,people really like the z-max,,,,,,,,and I think it's right at that price point.

are they e-fest?? I hear those are pretty good :)

dang your VTR broke? that sucks :( that's why I like the Provari,,,,fixed free for a year, and after that, for reasonable prices,,,

but I totally get that they are expensive,,,,I had to wait months to afford mine, so I get it,,,,,,

Yes, they are e-fest.

My device can still function but in order for the VTR to stay on I need to push the door up into the device. The door does not close tight enough to make connection with the battery.

I've never needed anything to go to 20 or 30 watts.... that doesn't mean I won't have something that will. I want everything! I own several ProVari's. They work perfectly for me. I usually stay in the 1-1.2 ohm range on my kayfuns and the ProVari handles it perfectly. Sometimes I get a .9 ohm coil when experimenting with twisted kanthal...the ProVari handles it.

It really depends on what you want. 20 watts? Get the DNA. If you want a solid pv that'll work everytime, has great customer service, is available, looks great...get a ProVari. I'll still be using a ProVari when the DNA 1000 comes out but thats just how I vape. If the ProVari has too many limitations for you and you want VW, or 20 watts, or built in batteries....then No, a ProVari isn't worth it.

The Kick is easy as hell to use. Set your preferred wattage, that's it. With every topper you put on the Kick will check the ohms, and adjust the voltage to vape at your set wattage.

If you want to sub-ohm, remove the kick and you have a solid mech. You can use the Nemesis in all battery sizes 18350-18490-186560 with a Kick. The Nemesis using a Kick with an 18650 battery is STILL SHORTER than a Provari Mini running an 18350.

The thing is...I do not know if I would sue 20 watts. I've never vaped anything like that but I'd like to have the option, especially when I'm spending as much money as I would be. At some point down the road I would like to be able to make some of these ridiculous coils that people are talking about without harming myself.

In before the howler monkey poop slinging fracas.

It's worth it to me. It may not be to you. I also currently own six other regulated mods - five of those are Chinese mods, and one DNA20. At this point I don't regret buying any of them, your experience will be different because you're not me.

Will I try to talk you into buying a ProVari? Nope. It's your money, but whatever you want, and I honestly hope that you're pleased with your purchase, and hope that it keeps you off cigarettes.

I'll say that I am glad that I bought mine, keep it in regular rotation (it normally comes with me every single day), and I am very pleased with how it performs. I'm happy with the build quality, and more than satisfied with the vape it gives me.

The other thing about the Kick... is there will be future Kicks no doubt. So down the road when a 30W Kick comes out; buy it and throw it in your incredibly durable and sexy mech.

With a DNA, down the road, you'll have the option if your DNA still works. It very well could. Nobody has had one long enough to know for sure. ProVari, on the other hand....
Anyway, if you're thinking of building and really getting into this thing, then quit fooling yourself...you'll have both. So, the question is which one to get first. Definately a ProVari. Let them get all the bugs worked out of the DNA's first and let the price drop. Happily vape a ProVari while you wait. I've yet to see anyone regret buying one...or 2...or 3...or 4........

I want 1 but holding out as i see in the Provari boards that veterens are predicting a Provari V3 sometimes mid year.

Don't let the mythical V3 hold you back. They have not announced anything about a new version, but it is inevitable that they will sometime. Provari is all about service and satisfaction though. They don't leave current owners behind (like the offshore stuff). They have always had a very cheap upgrade program to bring your older device up to date. Future proof is a concept the Chinese don't get... and I don't think ever will.

Ohhh... I didn't realize you needed decent batteries and a charger with the "magical" Provari.

Just the very commonly found high-drain AW IMR button-top batteries. No need for the snardy comment, Funk. That's the stuff that will cause the mods to come arunning and give warnings.

The Kick also requires the use of high drain batteries.

Sub-ohm coils below 0.8 ohm require the use of 30 amp high-drain batteries, too.

You're right, the iTaste MVP and V3 both use a higher pulse width current like the Provari, for a fraction of the cost. That's only two. I even included the link to the thread that confirms this in my blog.

Still, Innokin does not offer any support after warranty should they dysfunction and neither one are anywhere near as durable as a Provari. They're essentually disposable PV's. You get what you pay for.
