Ive said this before and I am sure I will again. I have a Vamo. I know it is a cheap product and it shows. As my vaping history turned out my happy place is with a REO Grand mech and an RM2 atty,

BUT

If I were in the market for another variable device Provari is the ONLY one on my list. Quality and durability are priceless to me.

I've been vaping for over a year now & although I love mechanicals Provari is still my go to device. I've also tried & owned several other mods. I cannot tell you how to spend your money. I can only tell you why I love mines enough to now own 3. Simply put it just works. I have one that's a V2 that was already a year old when I purchased it & now that it's over 2 years old it still delivers the same quality vape that I get from my V2.5. I've tried other devices & Provari just does it for me. Every time I pick it up I get a smooth & consistent vape no matter what 'topper' I'm using. I've dropped them several times so I also needed something that could tolerate me & my clumsiness. So in the end you just have decide what you want in a device. It doesn't sound like you're looking to get into sub ohm vaping or anything like that so it certainly is an option.

Also ask yourself, how long am I going to vape? My purchase was also an investment in a reliability & my future in what has now become a hobby for me. As someone who thought they'd never stop smoking I doubt I'll ever quit vaping as well & I feel like my Provari's will be around for the long haul. I recommend considering also what you want in your PV & comparing that to list of PV's that you're considering. It took me weeks to decide if I thought my purchase would be worth it or not. I'm glad I did the research for myself & I feel like I couldn't have made a better decision.

Good luck making your decision.

Worth and value is subjective, hence you're gonna get a lot of differing opinions. Only you can make that decision whether or not it's worth it. Unfortunately, IMO, for you to fully get a satisfying answer to that question, you need to either own one or borrow one for long term use - And there's the rub, to find out it'll cost you $179.00+ or you'll need a really good buddy that'll lend you their ProVari for an extended period of time.

I have 3 ProVari mini's ... are they my favorites? ... definitely not.
Do I enjoy them? ... I absolutely do.
Are they worth it to me? ... absolutely not.
Why do I have 3? ... because I can afford it and they have really good resale value.

IMHO, reading some of the opinions of members on this forum about ProVari's will likely confuse you more. I've copied and pasted a response from a similar thread about ProVari's v.s. ________ (fill in the blank) ... and it's true, they do tend to end up like this:

OP: "I'm looking to upgrade from _____. My budget is below (insert price usually at least $75-$100 bucks below the cost of a Provari)"
Provarinati #1 (usually within post #3): "Get a Provari."
MVP/Zmax/SID/SVD/VTR/VAMO owner: "Provari's are over-rated."
Provarinati #2: "Typical. EVERYTIME the haters just HAVE to chime in. Let them, they are just jealous and envious. Warranty, solid, USA USA USA, warranty, USA. You just don't get it 'till you hold it. People be hating."
Provarinati #3: "My Provari turned water into wine. Warranty, solid, USA USA USA, warranty, USA. You don't understand..."
Provarinati #4: "I thought I couldn't have children, but after I got my Provari I am expecting!!! USA! USA! Warranty, USA!"
MVP/Zmax/SID/SVD/VTR/VAMO owner: "Provari's are over-rated. They don't have VW. The Provari Mini is a $200 700mAh rip-off"
Provarinati #5: "Hater! VW is over-rated!"
Provarinati #6: "700mAh may get you 50% less vape time than a $25.00 1300mAh VV eGo twist, but what your not comprehending is that Provari Mini's are forged from the tears of Chuck Norris. USA!!!"
Provarinati #7: "You don't get it, man. You have to hold it."
OP: "I don't understand..."

The bottom line is, take whatever responses are posted in this thread with a grain of salt ... including my own.

If the Provari is not your favorite mod, what is? I would like to know. If I'm shelling out all of this money I'd like to hear everything because it seems like there isn't a whole lot of variation when people are talking about their favorite devices.

I would like to get back to a question I had posted halfway through this thread and I was confused by the answers.

Can I use my silver bullet with a KICK and get the same performance from that as everyone else is with their crazy expensive MECH mods? I'm somewhat confused as to how the KICK works. Do I need to take it out everytime I put a new topper on and adjust the wattage like I would with my vamo? I would just be using the buttons on the vamo though.

No provari but my favorite so far is my smoktech magneto $40 with my kick $20 and a couple 18500 batteries $14on ebay and a charger $20 mtbakervapor I think. And it now does everything. No matter what eventually you are gonna end up getting batteries and a charger so u can take that off the pricing list.

But I have dropped it several times done no more damage to it than some scratches and dents.

And yes I will probably get another mod here in the near future just cause I want to find the holy grail of vapes for me!

No u dont have to take it completely out but u do have to get to the top of it to move the screw to get the wattage u want

The Kick works fine with a Silver Bullet using an 18490 battery. Altsmoke even sells a "kick sleeve" that allows you to use an 18650 battery with a Kick in your silver bullet.
Your Online Electronic Cigarette Store

The Silver Bullet isn't a true mechanical. It uses wires in the switch, and I believe has a collapsable spring rated at 7A. So you won't be doing any "crazy sub-ohming" on a Silver Bullet like other mechs. Regardless, using a Kick, you won't be vaping outside of most other regulated devices limitations (except the DNA)

You don't need to take the kick out every time you put a new topper on. That is the whole point of Variable Wattage. You adjust the Kick to your desired wattage (say 10W), and leave it there. Every topper you put on, the Kick will check the resistance of the topper, and automatically the supply the correct voltage to get your 10W vape.

Silver Bullets are built like tanks. I never liked them, but considering you own one, put a Kick in it, and your $40 bucks away from a rock solid set-up that'll vape with the best of 'em.

And guess what fanatics??? The Silver Bullet and Kick are Made in the USA... ewwww.....

That's a tough question to answer. To put it into perspective for you, you're asking me to choose 1 device out of my entire collection. That's not easy. But, if I had to choose just one, it would have to be my 134. It doesn't get the most use, but it's the one I'd keep if I had to get rid of them all.

Don't get me wrong, all the great things you hear about ProVari's are true ... but that doesn't necessarily make it the right (best/favorite) device for you. Many people on this forum would say I'm nuts to take an inferior device like the 134 over the ProVari, but a favorite doesn't necessarily mean the device has to be expensive, technically superior, best quality, best warranty, best customer service and made in the USA. Favorite is a very personal choice for many personal reasons ... and those reasons may not be the same as yours.

Bottom line, you can't really know based on other peoples opinions ... you need to try it for yourself if you can afford it. If you can't afford it, believe me, you won't lose sleep over it. There are plenty of affordable devices at many price points that will give you a satisfying vape. Good luck!

LMFAO! That was my post.:p

What's hilarious is there have been replies in this thread staying true to script:

"You don't get it"

"You have to hold it"

"USA! Warranty!"

Even in that old thread, I made the mistake of quoting sections of a Provarinati's post a couple pages after mine and I was met with:

"Your a hating troll looking to start a fight! Why don't you read the entire thread before quoting me huh? You know what don't answer that I'm putting you on ignore!"

She obviously didn't read the thread. She didn't understand that I quoted everything from her post that repeated my little "script" verbatim, and put me on ignore by also adhering to the typical script with; "Your a hater! Troll!"

Cheers

Insulting a nation in order to bolster ones purchasing choices is considerably worse.

In 23 years of business I never once had to slander another company in order to promote my business beliefs.
I am amazed how many Provari owners, not all, insist on putting down another product in their attempt to justify a Product which by all reasoning can stand well on its own merit.

If believed to be true - This is best because...............................
Does not need to be followed be ALL others, or All China, or ................(fill in) is Junk, crap, or otherwise.

The Ops question was - Provari worth it? Not -what do you think of China or a question about any other products:glare:
I never speak bad about China as a people, only because their manufacturers do not stand by their product after warranty. I've never said that their products were necessarily bad, just not up to the same build quality as the Provari. We could argue all day about the merits and differences of their pulse regulation and circuit boards.
