Honest to god, the first time i used my provari i cried. No lie.

When not using provari i have the mvp2 that i use the most.

The vape really is that much better with the provari.
The way your vape feels is much differemt. I can make due just fine with my mvp2, the vv3 i only use to introduce nonvapers to vaping.

I cantt explain it i dont understand, but i take my ibtank with smok carto that is 1.8 vape on my mvp2 at 3.7, its fine no problems...
Now take that tank off and put it on my provari, same settings.. and its wow, smoother.

When my non vaping friends made fun of my provari, i dont say much. Just let them use my vv3 for an hour or two... Then i take the tank they have been using pop it on my provari, and say now vape that... Every response so far has been.... oh wow!

I just think the avg person cant afford it. Or dont think they can. I dont understand the part where ppl say "i cant justify the cost"
I spent $230 a month in cigarettes just a few months ago. In the beginning i felt i couldnt afford it either, look at my signature, some of those devices i have purchased multiples of...
Even my mvp2' the first one i spent $70 on, died 3 days later... Wth! That was when i decided i would afford it. If it were to break or malfunction it is repairable. And fairly cheap as well.

As far as vw, give me a break yall. If you arent adjusting your watts i dont believe you are getting the best of your vape.
My blueberry cake i vape at 7w, peach cobbler at 6.5w, neptune is usually 7.5 or sometimes 8.' Menthol, mints and spearmints usually 6.5.

Every flavor has a sweet spot, and if you vape that same flavor in different tanks/clearos the sweet spot changes.

I say buy a provari mini with extension caps, the two battery sizes, two in each size and sell everything else. Oh and get a 510 to ego adapter, i bought two but i have a mini and standard provari.

Like some people have said, it all depends where you want to go. To me, a provari is useless because I prefer my vape at around 60-80 ish Watts, which a provari can not do. So i use a mechanical mod (nemmy to be specific) and common sense. As for build quality... Mechanical mods are metal tubes, in my opinion, no matter how well a APV is made, it is not as durable as a metal tube.

If you MAY want to try sub ohming later, and you already have a mechanical mod (your silver bullet) grab the kick for it. The vapor experience is determined largely by your wattage. By setting your wattage, the kick adjusts the voltage provided to give the same wattage regardless of your resistance. So if you like your vape @ 15 watts, and have a 1.2 ohm atty on it, swap to a .8 ohm atty, the kick will adjust the volts so you get the same watts and a very similar vape experience. The only time you would change your wattage setting is if you have certain wattage preferences for certain juices, or different airflow on your toppers. TBH you dont even need a kick with a mechanical mod, the kick just gives you a consistent vape as opposed to your wattage dropping as your battery discharges and puts out less voltage.

And if you want to dabble into sub ohming, all you would have to do is pull out the kick and get a battery that can handle it. do your research. Learn ohms law and get an ohms calculator and know how many amps your drawing with your resistance on a fully charged battery, and make sure you have batteries that can handle the amps your pulling. dont run a .2 ohm which is pulling 21 amps on a 18360 battery rated for 6A continuous.

So to answer your question, is the provari worth it, if your looking for a VV APV that can go to about .9 ohms, is said to have good customer support, is a solid apv, and you can afford it. Sure, sounds like it fits the bill.

If you want something to go sub ohms like, or a VW device, or a device that can handle higher wattages, or something with a modest price. Then i would say no.

But thats my :2c: and of course YMMV

...Will ProVape develop a better product with a DNA30? Maybe....

Brandon from Evolv was on Vape Team Live last night (replay should be up today) and was unequivocal in stating that Evolv and Provape are not collaborating on anything at all so no one should be holding their breath waiting for a DNA 30 Provari. Brandon did say that the Darwin was used to introduce the new concept of VW and that a couple of similar introductory devices are in the works. Unsurprisingly, he did not hint the tiniest little bit at what they might be.

Edit: The Vape Team Live replay with Brandon Ward at Evolv is now up. The Evolv segment with Brandon starts at 33:46 and him denying any Evolv-Provape collaboration is at 1:01:32.

I ordered my ProVari in May 2013 and then quit cigarettes for good! It has been the only device I vape with since I got it and it works as well today as it did the day I got it, and only has slight blemishes from being in my pocket all the time. I forsee it continuing to work for a very long time...and if by chance it malfunctions, I can send it away to be fixed and have it back in a week. It has been absolutely worth "it"!

I couldn't agree more. I remember 3 days after I started vaping I went back to the shop to get a backup battery. The guy tried to sell me a battery with vv, and I said nah, what I've got works just fine. A couple of weeks later I was reading a thread by Redhen who was reviewing eliquids from Virgin Vapor and was talking about how each flavor was at it's best at certain voltages. I started thinking that it really does make a difference so I went and bought a battery with vv. Wow, it really opened up a whole new world.

The answer really depends on what you need and want in a PV. If you want VW and/or a safe playground for sub oHm coils the Provari is not for you. If you are happy with VV and are content with normal oHm vaping you would be hard pressed to find better build quality than the Provari.

Couldnt agree more... Provari is the best VV mod... But if youre doing anything with sub ohm coild or prefer 28g wire re-think it. Even with a 1.4 ohm and 28g I get a metallic taste that wont quit no matter how I treat the wire before hand. And I prefer the 28g.

My wife decided last night she want to start vaping today, after witnessing me completely kick analogs since last fall. I've been through egos and mvps etc, now using provari. She is really bad at dropping things and abusing them, and would get super frustrated if her pv died. I'm going to start her off right with a pink provari mini today. Skip the long road to the inevitable destination.
