I'm definately no expert but would take a look at the resistance of your carto and the voltage that you are vaping at. If you are using low resistance cartos, they are designed for 3.7v vaping (to mimic 5v vaping). If you are vaping at 5v would recommend using a 2-3 ohm carto that is designed for higher voltages.

I only very occasionally will push a 3.0 carto to 5 volts. Almost every juice I like tastes better at or below 4.8 or so. Some of them taste best at 4.2. It's really juice dependent, and you can get a burnt juice taste at 5.0 volts especially with lighter vapes like fruits. You should not get a burnt filler taste. So if you're tasting burnt juice, turn the voltage down. If you're tasting burnt filler, you don't have enough juice in your carto. Either way, it's hard to recover a carto from burnt anything once it's happened so likely you'll have to toss it and try with another one.

As for no vapor, light flavor that probably means you don't have enough juice in the carto, or you haven't turned it up high enough. I don't really use cartos without tanks anymore, but when I do I always make sure to get my carto nice and soaked. Wasting a few drops of juice is nothing in comparison to tossing a filled carto that I burnt the filler in.

my gf and i been on ecigs for 2 1/2 months and we just got our provaris yesterday in the mail and we straight love them. A friend of ours has gone threw about 5 different types of ecigs in the same amount of time as us and she must have never came to this forum. I got all my research done from here and started with a halo g6 then went right to the provaris and i dont regret a thing lol. It is like night and day between the 2 on how well the vape and tastes are.

Thanks for all the posts, after filling a new carto, and lowering volt to 4.0 i am getting good vape and flavor. Would prefer more vape still though, but these are the standerd 5 box cartos. And yes it is definitely the learning curve, i agree. I am planning to order different juice from vapedudes i hear thats a good place. Can someone point me to a good website for new cartos and tanks. Also, a question about low resistance, should i use them? The only thing i find is the hotter it burns, the more irritated my throat gets, actually makes it hard to breath at times. Where i am at now 4.0 no issues, would just like more vapor.

If you want more vapor try a higher VG content. Just be aware the more VG you use, the more TH and flavor you will sacrifice. Try a nice compromise maybe at 60pg/40vg. That works for me. Lots of flavor, just the right TH and enough vapor to satisfy. Sounds like TH is not your thing though, so you might even go to 50/50 or 40pg/60vg.

I've got some 50/50 at 24mg and there is hardly any throat hit in a SR Boge 3.0 in a tank on my Provari but if I put the same juice in an LR carto...WAY more TH.
