Thank you for posting this link Jake6731!

I was familiar with Mayer's name as he's the author of that study suggesting that the lethal dose of nicotine has been wildly under-estimated. (Google "nicotine dose self-experiments" to find it, I can't find the link right now).

That blog post is excellent, particularly in its focus on the pretend-science being used to attempt to demonise e-cigs. It's going into my arsenal of quick-refutation/education links!

Bookmarked, also. I've long believed that media negativity can be traced both to cigarette haters and politicians who've already become addicted to tobacco settlement money. They've borrowed and spent the money based on expectations of future payments. Now, they can only favor the source of the tax and the settlement money and impede its demise. Electronic cigarettes represent a barrier to future cigarette sales, thus a loss of tobacco settlement payments.
