Great device IMO. Built really solid. So easy to load with juice.
Rebuilding your own coils is a snap and saves big time money and keeps it running smooth, fresh, and un-gunky. I think if I bought heads instead re-building them; I'd probably let it gunk up a lot more to get my money's worth out of the heads. Using 3mm silica I've never had it gurgle or leak; and never had a dry hit. I just "fray" up the ends coming out a bit. The bottom grommet is still working 100% despite being pulled out dozens of times by now. I haven't even used the second head that came with it yet.
The only things I don't like about the Protank are;
1.) I have to screw it down
super tight on my Vamo in order to make a good connection. I have a legitimate fear of it possibly shoving the center post on my Vamo down under the O-ring one of these days. It hasn't happened; but I'm pretty cautious when putting it on. I don't own anything else that needs to be screwed down as far as my Protank does.
2.) It does seem to burn through juice a hell of a lot more than say a carto-tank. This is my first and only owned bottom coil tank, so not sure if this is just normal for this kind of device. It's not a deal breaker, but I've been saving so much money vaping compared to when I smoked, I've become quite the "bean counter" it turns out.
I've got one of the Kamry Protank clones en-route to my house from fasttech. Looking forward to seeing how it compares, and having another bottom coil tank vape around to hold another flavor for the rotation.
