maybe let's move this to being coordinated by the ECO, or ATA, or ICASA. Whatever we end up calling it as of 9-13. Webby???
Absolutely!
It's easy to discount an individual's ideas as crackpot, but when nearly a million people all have similar experiences - all over the country and world - it carries a spark of credibility not even ASH can deny.
Part of what the site will do is hold (thousands?) of testimonials, YouTube clips and photos of members all corroborating what we've all been telling our friends, family and people on the street. Public events and news opps will be posted, and every time you can rally a handful of people to make the local news it builds the momentum. A national gathering would be great, but I'm not sure we're organized well enough yet to convey a consolidated message. Our goal is to educate and inform the public so we certainly want to avoid coming off as a mob mentality or group of zealots.
The possibilities are incredible. We just need to come across as unified, articulate and calm (but resolute) in defending e-cigs or we won't be taken seriously. The formation of the users group, and then regional chapters, would IMHO be the best way to go.
That said, as long as we keep things moving (and everyone weighs in on the ECO
threads) this timeframe is certainly within grasp. We'll need all the press we can get!
