Unlike many people, I would prefer a puff counter. It could help fight chain vaping by letting me know to put it down after so many puffs. A vibrate function or maybe even a auto shut off after 15 puffs or whatever a average cigarette would give you. You can also track how long fluid lasts with different gear or settings. I see people refer to puff counters as bells and whistles but I think it should be one of the more important things to have. If you never want to quit vaping and have no need to track how many puffs per tank you are getting then I can see not wanting one. If your goal is to not only quit smoking cigarettes but to also get off nicotine and stop vaping then a puff counter could be of significant help. I hope to see more development in this area.

A puff counter has it uses, but its more of a novelty with the way I vape. My draws or "puffs" aren't always the same length so counting mine would be completely pointless.

Well there's several devices on the market that have them. Consider the eVic or the iTaste 3.0, among others. Don't use them myself, but I guess I'd rather have them, than not, but not as the first thing I see on my display! LOL... best to you.

Thanks. So many devices out there.. I need a timer/counter.. I feel like I'm smoking 3 smokes to other peoples one. Maybe it's just because I'm new to vaping.

APV with GPS to let you know how often you vape and where you do it? lol

Honestly, while I'm sure that was intended as a joke, I think such a feature in an 'add-on' device (screws between tank and PV) would be rather interesting for those of us interested in tracking our vaping habits. Could help identify stress situations, like if you vape more at work on certain days, or track if you're chain-vaping at bars when you're out with friends drinking. Not sure how practical a use there is for it for 99% of us, but a neat little feature for some, I'm sure. If you build it, they will buy, right?

On that note, I'm tempted to build a little something that'll track not only a puff count, but the length of your puffs..be simple with a pair of 510 connectors and a cheap PIC microcontroller..

I know I chain vape, I don't need a puff counter to tell me that. I am also not concerned right now that I chain vape. I don't smoke - that's all I care about. If I ever wanted to quit vaping, I can put the PV down, still don't see the need for a puff counter. However, if others want them, cool.

Should contact the makers of the Janty, they had software that interacted with their device, unfortunately I heard the setup was not user friendly.

Evic already does this. And it's uploadable and graphable.

Which requires a specialty device (the eVic) that I personally have no interest in. I'm quite happy with my Vamo, and if I can find a spare 18350 'extension' tube on their site, it'll be easy to cram a few bucks worth of electronics in there to do basically the same thing :) I'm a tinkerer by nature, I'd rather build it than buy it is all, nothing against the eVic, just not for me.

I don't like that feature, personally. It's minor annoyance because one has to wait a couple of seconds on it every time one wants to change the voltage on the MVP. And it stresses me out. I find myself doing the mental math of how much I'm vaping compared to how many drags I'd have per day on a cig. (I know, I know....but it still stresses me out.)

I don't like a constant reminder of the level of my addiction, but that's just me. :p
