Laguna is a sexy saw if you get the Italian made ones (some of their products are coming out of China now & aren't quite the same). It's definitely a better saw, but bang for buck, I wasn't willing to pay for it - I could go industrial sized Jet at their prices (not saying Jet is the best, but quality-wise they're solid & affordable). I spent months and months analyzing what I want vs what I need vs cost/savings (my spreadsheets are getting ridiculous - but at least I know every tool I'm going to upgrade & which model I'm going to get). I even looked at the lower priced Jet 14" but by the time I put risers & roller guides on it I was loosing a quarter horse & saving $50. It just made sense to step up at that point.
I don't do much on WW forums, I've signed up for a couple & made some friends, but I can't say I spend much time on them. Sawmill looked like a nice one whenever it popped up in searches, but I never did a lot of digging into it. And shame on you for not WW'ing lately... unless you had to hold off on lumber for a short while to buy the Provari... that would be acceptable

Luckily I keep all that stuff separate & in it's own account. In fact I just got a shipment from a new lumber supplier I wanted to try out. West Penn Hardwoods. Pretty satisfied. There was a touch of sapwood showing on a couple pieces, but I picked up some wenge, cocobolo (my favorite), padauk, bocote, purpleheart & bloodwood for a nice array of exotic samples. As far as turning blanks go, I'd definitely recommend them.
