Been very busy with work lately and haven't been around much. When I came back the first thing I noticed is that wllmc is not around. What's the deal with that? Very nice guy and made MANY very useful posts. Who banned him, and why?

He was apparently posting about information that is not supposed to be discussed.

Maybe he will return, meanwhile I'm having an;
Apricot Martini
3% Apricot
1% White Peach
2% Gin

I must say, pretty darn good.

Warning: tobacco novice ahead!
...................

I really like 1% Latakia with 1% Burley. This will be the first tobacco blend (unless you count TFA RY4D plus AP as a tobacco blend) that I'll make in a larger batch than sample-size. The two flavors together gather all the flavor notes I expect in tobacco without adding food/drink flavors I don't expect. It's smooth, flavorful, definitely tobacco, nothing in there I don't like. Burley adds a smoothness I'd call slightly creamy if it were a food flavor. I taste a richer, deeper, moister tobacco than Latakia. Plain Burley is too strong for me, but combined equally with Latakia - it's just right for me. Finally!

If any of you tobacco experts would give your opinion and description of 1% Latakia + 1% Burley, I'd sure be grateful! Descriptions online for these 2 flavors completely disagree with me (and each other), so I'm curious to know what you guys with tobacco knowledge think of it. (Even if you think it's terrible, it won't stop me from liking it, so please be brutally honest if you think I'm nuts.)

....................

I've had each individually and this sounds like a winner to me, I plan on mixing this up soon as I can find time. I like Burley stand alone better myself :p

This past weekend I mixed up Shade and Dusk for the first time and I'm really liking both of them. Shade for me is light tobacco mildly sweet and not floral :thumb: I think it would be good with a touch of fruit, maybe. Dusk seems fairly dark(hence the name), little smokey. I'm thinking a good mixer to darken/dirty up other tobaccos.

I just have to say thank you to HIC! I made up some recipes, some need a bit of tweeking for my taste buds. But oh my, the Pear Apple Frangipane is wonderful!!! Even my hubby - who didn't want to try any flavors - loves it! I don't go through much in a day, might have to double my intake because there are so many delicious recipes to try. Thanks to all who have shared recipes!

Ok, I've realized for awhile that I have a problem but didn't want to say anything because I don't want to offend anyone nor do I want anyone to change their avatars.

HIC and Huck! Your names both begin with H, and your avatars are of similar color. Sometimes I think there's just one of you. It's like when I thought we2rcool suffered from dual personality syndrome and knew about it. With that said, please don't change anything (not that you would). It's become a little game for me.

The main difference I get with the VT nic is the lack of that burning sensation with the first few drags after a break(maybe that's just me, IDK). I had only ever used NN before, my first order from them was a little better than the last. The more I use the VT stuff the more I'm liking it but I really haven't done any remixing because of it. I know I'm not a 'Super Taster' as JimmyD put it, but I am picking up more of the back-notes in some of the tobacco flavors and other things in general just taste cleaner.

I think, for me, it'll be one of those things where if I were to switch back to the NN that is when I'd really notice the difference.

I've spent days and days reading here, but don't have MANY of the abbreviations. Can someone please tell me what VT nic is? I haven't started buying anything for our DIY journey yet, but if there's a nic out there that's more flavorless than the others, I'd really like to check into it. Thank you everyone.

VT nic is for Vaperstek.org nicotine. From what I've read it is probably the cleanest nic readily available at the moment.

Oh, hi everyone. Longtime lurker here, placed my first FA order a couple of nights ago. Love all of y'all and all the effort and personality that has been put into this thread.

Yeah, that Burley is making its way into every tobacco mix for me. I must like it.

Your Shade plus Dusk - "Penumbra" :D Those both taste sweet to me, maybe because my base is all VG.

Rocket you crack me up! Btw, this is Huck.

And since "panting-dog-avatar" mentioned it, WHAT is the protruding pink thing in your avatar Huck? I thought it was a pig's .... and figured it was somehow....um, off-color. lol! Then I saw you mentioned some kiddie movie. Marshmallow? Soap suds?

The other abbreviation in the quote you referenced is NN for Nude Nicotine. I never used theirs; I used Wizard Labs' nic. Going from WL to Vapers Tek is a HUGE improvement with my dessert/creamy/sweet recipes. As I understand it, NN is cleaner than WL, but VT is at least that much better than NN. (lol - enough abbreviations for ya?)
