Sounds like an Americanized version of torrone. I remember picking those candies apart to see if the different blobs tasted different, but I don't remember the result. Are those still made? I also sorted my Froot Loops by color as a kid. I recently read - to my horror - every color Froot Loop is the same flavor.

Apparently they do still make them, and they're called "Jelly Bean Nougats"

I didn't like them much as a candy as a kid, but I luvs them as a vape :)

Fruits loops all the same flavor? Arrggh. They probably don't have any fruit at all in them either :(

Pomegranate has impressed me when mixed with other fruits, but hadn't tried it with kiwi yet. It's really good with Lime Tahiti or Black Cherry or Bilberry or various combinations, assuming you like pomegranates.

Mango-peach and mango-vienna-cream (like the pudding in Mexican restaurants) are all I've done with mango.

I don't know what goes with passionfruit! Anyone? I have a hard time vaping it plain. It reminds me of the way the slimy seeds in real passionfruit feel, sorta too realistic for me. But there's gotta be another fruit I'd like it with.

Lychee (FA flavor as well as the canned fruit) reminds me of Asian pears. I agree it needs company but haven't found a great one.

Back to the creamy sweets for me....Butterscotch-Meringue-Creamy-Cookies at the moment - a relief after my recent fruit binge.:D

Thanks for the tips! The Mango-Peach sounds good. I'll also try the Pomegranate with a few other things and may play with the passionfruit again, at some point.

I ended up mixing the mango-passionfruit and lychee together. It tamed the passionfruit but the lychee was still too much. Added a little raspberry and it's not bad. Not something I would make again, but not bad.

I have an Asian pear tree in my yard. I'm sure I must have at least tried one when I first moved in (several years ago) but I can't remember how it tasted. I'll make it a point to try one again this year.

I did that with M&Ms knowing they tasted the same. Still enjoyed doing it and not happy with myself for not doing that with froot loops.

I need to correct myself here. Just because someone once told me that it was an Asian pear tree doesn't make it so. Turns out it's a bosc pear tree. Sorry about that. Never thought to research it until now.

Torrone with Walnut and Mandarine is one of my favorites, so tasty.

But now I need to make a pot of coffee - I sure have a lot of other-brand flavorings to use in real beverages now.
What % do you use? I tried this and it came out ok...couldnt taste the walnut and couldnt tell if what I was tasting was the torrone or mandarine. Also thought about throwing in some vienna or catalan cream.

I use 2% Torrone, 2% Mandarine, 2-3% Walnut. Walnut is the least-strong of FA's nut flavors. If you want it nuttier and some other nut flavors, use 2% Walnut and 1% Nut Mix. If you have nut mix, definitely include it.

Thanks! yes...I have nut mix(smells awesome). I will try this. I have a ton of fa flavors now...I think like 50 - 60, but I dont have black currant. Do I need that to make that pie you did a couple of pages back?

If you mean 'Bohemian Cobbler' (post #262 in this thread), FA Blackcurrant is the main flavor, so yeah. There are a few other fruits in that recipe I listed subs for, though. If you like actual black currants, you'll find a lot of use for FA's version - it's a very accurate black currant flavor and mixes agreeably with lots of other flavors.

To me, real lychee tastes like creamy vanilla. Maybe adding a touch of vanilla will bring out it's natural characteristics.

I've been reading through this thread and WOW - what a wealth of information! I really appreciate you, HIC, for your knowledge and willingness to share!!! Thank you and everyone else who has contributed! Waiting for my FA order to come in...

Crap. Now I need to order Black Currant. Phooey. I think I have 90% of what Purevapes offers already. Oh well, another order next week, maybe.

If you don't already have a good Starbucks-ish coffee recipe, here's my current favorite. It changes with each puff (fun with a vv battery). Expect flavors of butterscotch, vanilla, espresso, chocolate, Bailey's, occasional hint of almond (from the Vanilla Tahiti) and vanilla cake, very creamy, nicely sweet:

FIVE-STAR FANCY COFFEE
1% FA Vanilla Tahiti
1% FA Fresh Cream
0.5% - 1% FA Tiramisu (your preference)
0.5% FA Irish Cream
0.5% FA Butterscotch

FIVE-STAR MINTY - instead of Butterscotch, use .05-1% FA Peppermint

Don't be afraid to play around and try other flavors instead of Butterscotch, like mixing your own coffee with those Torrani syrups. I like butterscotch or mint, but lots of others would go well.. like Raspberry, Coconut, White Peach, Hazelnut (I'd go light), Walnut+Maple Syrup... Yum!

We had FA Tobacco testers sitting around, I was filling a tank with Virginia (2%) - when my eyes fell on the Latakia (1.5%)...so I filled 2/3 of the tank with the Virginia and topped it off with the Latakia. 'Shook it like crazy and vaped.

SERIOUSLY? This is crazy good! Called hubby - vape this tobacco mix! One hit and he was hooked.

Yeah, that's just crazy, I know...but we're both vaping it and the test bottles are almost empty.

WHAT FUN!

The other day when I got my Latakia in I realized that I had ~5ml of some well steeped 1% Virginia, that I didn't really care for, so I went ahead and added a few drops of the Latakia. This morning I decided to try it out and as you put it it's crazy good! I'm going to have to mix a few different ratios to see what I like best. Thanks for the tip!
