right at first I opened it up and smelled it and thought what the heck was HIC talking about . doesnt smell that bad. by the time bottle 5 got mixed I had to quit .

I always thought it smelled like a tobacco barn with old stakes (leafs that were not removed and have gotten black with age which makes a great source for a guy to make some chewing plugs).

Has anyone ever tried FA Royal tobacco?

I have, but it's been a few years so it's not fresh in my mind.

It is recommended at 2%, which to me seems a bit light.

So, add more?

Others have suggested 6%. Has anyone gone that high?

I think I've been up to 15% on all of FA's tobaccos except for Dark Vapure. That's how I know that the tastes of them can completely change.

Also, would it go well with a touch of cocoa?

If you like cocoa, then all tobaccos go well with cocoa.

My initial impressions of the four tobacco flavors I mixed yesterday are all positive, no regrets so far. I mixed them all at 2%, heat steeped(crockpot@150) for four hours and let them rest for ~8 hours.

7 Leaves Ultimate: I can see why this gets so many good reviews. Kinda light/mild cigarette-ish and finishes sweet.

Cigar Passion: Wow, I was pleasantly surprised with this one. It's rich but in no way overpowering with, what I would call, a mildly sweet cigar flavor. This has ADV potential for me.

Desert Ship: At 2% this one is in your face! It somewhat reminds me of TFA's RY4D, I really don't like RY4D(I know I'm a minority here) but this is growing on me.

Latakia: I was kinda scared of this one after reading some of the reviews and a warning from we2rcool. It's definitely different, a little smokey, bold, maybe a little licorice-ish, back of the tongue/throat kind of flavor. It really isn't too bad by itself but I can already see how well it would blend with Virgina and can't wait to try it out.

I also mixed up some Hypnotic Mist at 5% per we2rcool's recommendation in another thread. Wow, I can dig it. I don't think* this is suppose to be a tobacco flavor but some sort of herbal brew. If your open-minded/adventurous I recommend trying this one out.

So would I....and I'm vaping Oba Oba right now. I like it, but have no idea how to describe it because it seems to change flavor with each inhale.

Wethinks the best way to describe Oba Oba is a description we found in a review (somewhere 'back then')...

In the old Brachs "Pick A Mix" candies, there was one that was a white/soft rectangular cube, with little 'gel pieces' in it. The soft white part was kind of marshmallow/meringue-ish in taste, and the little gel pieces were tiny lil' blasts of more intense candy flavor.

Yeah, Oba Oba tastes like that to us. But after a few weeks, it starts getting a tobacco-type flavor and seems (to us) to lose that 'flavor change with each inhale' that Hoosier mentioned.

50/50 blend of Oba Oba & Hypnotic Mist (both at 5%)...luvLuvLUV for a relaxing, not 'in yer face' kinda vape.

Also, we think Oba turns most any plain fruit into a 'finished vape'.

Just mixed the Kiwi and Pomegranate together at 2% each. MmmmmmmmGood. Tried the Mango and Passionfruit together and the same %. Note to self: Two strong flavors don't always go good together, at least at those percentages. Not at all bad, just too strong for me. Also tried the Lychee as a stand alone at 4%. Didn't care for it by itself but could see using it as a background flavor in other mixes.

Just my :2c:

Pomegranate has impressed me when mixed with other fruits, but hadn't tried it with kiwi yet. It's really good with Lime Tahiti or Black Cherry or Bilberry or various combinations, assuming you like pomegranates.

Mango-peach and mango-vienna-cream (like the pudding in Mexican restaurants) are all I've done with mango.

I don't know what goes with passionfruit! Anyone? I have a hard time vaping it plain. It reminds me of the way the slimy seeds in real passionfruit feel, sorta too realistic for me. But there's gotta be another fruit I'd like it with.

Lychee (FA flavor as well as the canned fruit) reminds me of Asian pears. I agree it needs company but haven't found a great one.

Back to the creamy sweets for me....Butterscotch-Meringue-Creamy-Cookies at the moment - a relief after my recent fruit binge.:D

Sounds like an Americanized version of torrone. I remember picking those candies apart to see if the different blobs tasted different, but I don't remember the result. Are those still made? I also sorted my Froot Loops by color as a kid. I recently read - to my horror - every color Froot Loop is the same flavor.

Oba Oba... yeah, I've no idea how to describe it either (when vaped fresh after only a quick warm'n'shake). I can sense marshmallow and sweetness, but also, I think, a bit of what could turn into a tobacco-ish flavour as you say, we2. I find it quite pleasant to vape on its own, fresh, and not too bland or sweet. I could see this blending nicely with a touch of cocoa and steeped absolute tobacco... if I ever find the patience to steep one!

I did a passionfruit colada type of mix....passionfruit, coconut, jamaican rum, fresh cream, vienna cream and a small amount of cherry. It was good but the throat hit caused by either the rum or coconut was intense...I am getting sick and it felt like I was swallowing pine cones...it hurt. Will try to vape th is mix later.

Yup, that throat hit is the Rum. Gooood stuff, but I use it low. I'll steal your passionfruit colada idea and try it on my next round of fruits. Sounds good!

I mixed up Torrone 4% to test it out, not too bad. Wanting to also try this Walnut I added ~2% + ~ 1% Cocoa and TFA Brown Sugar. It was a shot in the dark and I'm sure could be made better but, It sure is tasting good with this cup of coffee I'm having.

Torrone with Walnut and Mandarine is one of my favorites, so tasty.

But now I need to make a pot of coffee - I sure have a lot of other-brand flavorings to use in real beverages now.
