There is actually a way for a better chance to get vaping legalized.
Ironically we would need the big tobacco companies to gain a strong or substantial footing in the vaping market. If they have the financial interest, meaning they have like a Marlboro mod and juice, in the vaping market, it means they can use their fire power to sway and affect legislation of governments..
We all know what kind of power they have..

No no no... I'm saying let them in! Let the big tobaccos into the industry. Let them fight to get vaping legalized! Just so the smaller independent vaping companies can tack alongside and survive. Even when that happens vapers are smart enough to know which e-juice are better for them.
Is that better? Rather then fighting the government and tobacco, now it's the tobacco companies fight for us..

Interesting...the tobacco corporation missed /underestimated the value of e-cigs and would definitely be fighting to get a piece of the action if not the whole cake..
I'm sure they think of the 'Kodak Scenario': no.1 in their sector, failed to adapt to the arrival of digital photography and...bankrupt.
The corpo. already launched their cigalikes: Vuse and Mark Ten to my knowledge but failed..
In my opinion, considering governments back the tobacco industry (it's big money after all), I won't be surprise that the tobacco industry wins.. either through regulations or buyouts leading to market monopoly..
It sucks but when you look at the new bill in preparation in the US, it seems the corpo. will win...quote from Forbes (i'll post the link but not sure if it will be published): "If a draft rule released by the FDA in 2014 stands, thousands of e-cig products on the market will have to go through an onerous preapproval process that e-cig companies say could cost them as much as $2 million per item. (The FDA puts the figure at $330,000.) VMR, which sells mostly online and doesn’t need to limit itself to what will fit in a convenience store display, offers more than 500 types of e-liquids, vaporizers and e-cig accessories, so fully complying with the new regulations will cost it anywhere from $175 million to $1 billion. Daniel Walsh, CEO of Purebacco, an e-liquid maker in Gaylord, Mich., which sells more than 200 selections, calls the impending rules “Vapocalypse.”
Can E-Cigarettes Survive The War Against Vaping?
Cheers and Viva la V!

I know what you mean. But I think that is the crux of the problem. Legislators may be trying to keep big tobacco out by not allowing them to open another new segment.

Well it does seems like so on the surface. Admittedly I m a cynic and a pessimist. If legislators are trying to stop the big tobacco from doing more harm they would have done so already. Whatever they do smokers are not going to stop smoking.. I know cos I m one for over 20 yrs. the only way to move from analogs is to provide a viable alternative, like vaping. When they cite reasons like that to curb vaping, they are actually doing the big tobacco a big favor by eliminating the competition. When the smoke clears the big tobacco will be left standing, others will fall.
End of the day I dun think any government or legislators give a hoot about tobacco harm.. In fact think about it; they get tax money from them, and when ppl gets ill from the chemicals pharmaceutical companies makes the money again.. It's a vicious cycle no one would admit to.

Was having my lunch after watching Dr Michael Mosley on YouTube talking about vaping... and I was thinking this and had to share it...

If we formed a group to promote vaping to the authorities and engage them in a conversation about the benefits... We'd be called:

Vaping Advocacy Group Involving the National Agenda

or VAGINA for short.

Not to be intrusive or rude, but why did those who never smoked before got into vaping? As a safer alternative to smoking and eventually to cessation, vaping can be seen in a good light. But when non smokers start vaping, it kinda gives it a very negative light.
Sorry if what I said offends anyone. I just feel that the reason the government is coming down hard on it is also because it's being seen as a cool thing to do, and non smokers are also doing it.

Hi from the USofA. A respected university health survey team here has recently observed that most kids who vape say there is no nicotine in their liquid. My conclusion is the main attraction of vaping/smoking to kids is visual, it's the clouds bro'. Kids want to do cloud tricks. Vaping trounces smoking because the clouds are much better. So if there's no nic NOW what's the fuss about, a life addicted to clouds? If you don't need nicotine all the eliquid ingredients are available at walk in retail. There's going to be no stopping kids who just want to make clouds.
