I am confused about what is the best one to thin your VG with. It does seem that most agree on the 80/20 thinning ratio. But after reading a lot of threads there is mass confusion as to what to thin it with. So can peeps please help me with this. That way I know if I need to run to the local Walmart or to the local liqueur store. LOL!

I am about to get brave and make the jump and start making my own eliquids from just a 36mg PG nic unflavored, and thinned VG with Lorann's hard candy oils. No premixed stuff.

I have decided to go ahead and mix a "base mixture" of 50/50 36mg PG nic unflavored and thinned VG 80/20. Now I know that is not very scientific for the end outcome of the nic mg content because the larger the batch the less nic mg because the more flavorings you need. But just as long as it is between 10-16mg it is fine with me. After all it is for me. LOL!

Most people dilute VG with distilled water. That appears to be the safest route.

here how i do it 50% juice 30% PG 20% VG and one drop of lorann's per ml so for 5 ml of juice use 5 drops. however some flavors are weaker and other are stronger, so you might need to adjust the number of drops you're putting in

Distilled water would be the cheapest way to go. LOL! Also I guess it would remove the temptation of "sampling". hehehe

I have just ordered my first 30ml bottle of 36mg unflavored nic juice. Should come by next week I hope as it comes out of Canada I think.

So far I have only got a couple 1dram bottles of Lorann's. I got one of butterscotch and one of Cream de Menthe.

I have to admit that I got antsy today and did a small mix of VG with some PS Marlboro 18mg. I did that at almost a 1 to 1 ratio and then added 6 drops of the Creme de Menthe. Wow, that flavoring is very strong! Crash I wish you would have spoke up sooner as I did that with only about 3 ml. I do got to say it does freshen the mouth. LOL!

On a side note... WOW! Did it ever produce some vapor! Very satisfied with what the VG did!

Wow, I did take a gander and I bet that mix would be eye watering if you tried to vap it straight up. LOL! I have never been much of a menthol fan, in fact hated the times I would accidentally lite up one of my wife's menthols early in the am when half asleep still. ewwww....

I think I will come to depend heavily on the Creme de Menthe as an additive. I have got to get some chocolate for sure. I am a chocoholic. LOL!

I cut my recipes with the more socially unacceptable 190 proof PGA.
I like PGA mixes because it produces a fuller smoother throat and nose hit IMO.
I like VG because it is thicker and allows me to maximize PGA.

50% PGA :50% VG; is the thinnest mix that works well in my device.
30% PGA :70% VG; produces clouds of vapor and thickness is more typical.

Sometimes I just add a bit of flavor to above for 0mg.
sometimes I mix above with premixed VG flavored juice to cut it.

I don't usually thin the VG if I'm mixing it with PG. The PG is thin enough already.
