Hi All: I just this saw thread from Kurt on the new members forum, thread: Smoking Everywhere. Q1: How does this affect V4L imports from China if at all, Q2: Is this holding up juice restocking at V4L? Leaford, Smilin, Mark, Val, anyone able to comment on the validity of this threat? Sorry if it is being addressed elsewhere, but I am much more concerned about the impact specifically on V4L as they are the only vendor I care to deal with. Thanks in advance!

"And now after I too posted previously, I am not as positive about SE as I was. It is not their fault, but it seems that SE and njoy are now the ONLY PV vendors that cannot have their shipments seized. This is definitely a careful-what-you-wish-for situation. The fight found them as the only two companies on the winning side, at least until the final ruling is made. How ironic...I think I should have seen that coming, but enthusiasm has a way of blinding you at times."

I tend to be a pessimist....and I think that ultimately we are going to lose this fight. Think about what ecig manufacturers, and vendors are up against. All the people who are losing out because of e-cigs: Cigarette makers are losing money everytime someone picks up a PV. Pharmaceutical companies are losing money everytime someone gives up on their high-priced, low value smoking cessation products like chantix, nicotine gum, patches, inhalers and lozenges. And the big losers....those pesky sin-tax loving politicians. And they all own a piece of the FDA....

No....I am afraid our vaping days are numbered (from a legal perspective). I just hope those days are numbered in high hundreds or thousands. Just call me black cloud.... ;)

On a brighter note, the whole FDA spreading ...... madness type lies in regards to E-cigs is causing an entirely new demographic to start distrusting their government agencies. When they look farther into the issue they find links to a myriad of other ....ups signed off on by the FDA and it makes it even worse. The FDA doesn't give 2 hoots for our health and well being, they are all about the money and it is really starting to show.

I've been following that business pretty closely, as discussed in many, many pages over there. It's my most recent obsession. (My Dad was a lawyer and I enjoy the logical convolutions in a nauseated sort of way. Cigarettes also killed my Dad.) I think that it's something of a crap shoot at this point how it'll play out. It's not too happy, however you cut it. I hope that's wrong, somehow.

You can't put a genie back into a bottle, but you can turn it into a worthless ghost of its former self. I keep having this bad dream of trudging off the the pharmacist with a ratty little prescription clutched in my hand, and picking up a nasty flesh-colored plastic tube that produces a sad, thin trickle of FDA-approved, pharma manufactured, mud-flavored vapor...

Taxes I could maybe live with. But the other bad dream involves "VaporCrap!, brought to you by Philip Morris - new enhanced ecigs with 4000 toxic enhancements, and reassuring big taxes on every puff, just in case you were missing the old days. "...

I suffer from hyperbolic dreams. I hope.

There are so many illegal things in the world, just cause it's against the law, doesn't mean people won't do it.

Yes, that victory we had a few weeks back really doesn't apply to us. I mean for the ecig world in general, it is a tiny victory, but for v4l it means nothing. Customs can/will seize whatever they want as long as its not the companies who won.

v4l will definitely fall under the seizable goods, to answer the OP... for now. having said that, i'm pretty sure that the guys are making every effort to make sure that doesn't happen. and we should be happy campers for a while with the last big shipment. it can only affect juice and filled cartos, i believe... and if worse comes to worse there are many suppliers... there won't be a juice shortage any time soon, i don't think.

The only thing we'll need is attys. The word will get around quick about how to make your own Mod. We can already make our own juice. The batteries are common.

If someone could make an atty that could be used for other things besides vaping, we could buy them. I don't see any need for panic. This vaping idea is too big to stop. As we here all know, tobacco isn't.

This scare goes round and round. The sky is falling posts.
V4L is thinking about a mod of some type. With a mod you can use store bought batts..protected AAA's, AA's or others. Yes the Atty's are dicey for normal folks..but at least a few boxes of filled cartos/blank cartos will get you thru until the blank cartos are approved.
You can make juice..if you have to.
In my opinion there's not much to be done about it other then letter writing and speading the word. take every opportunity to spead the word..there is power in numbers, numbers vote.
