Alright... So let me explain a few weird things.

My Provari and I have had a rocky relationship. I bought it expecting to never need another PV ever again, and really I shouldn't. I've just never quite enjoyed vamping it like I should though.

The only other device I have to compare it to is my bf's Anyvape CVI1. Frankly, I like the way his Anyvape vapes more than I do my Provari. And this made noooooooo sense to me, so we did some investigating.

It would appear that the anyvape rolls its vape off in a gentler power output than my Provari. The Provari is very forceful. This would be one of those things most people would enjoy more about the Provari, I'm sure. On the forums, I found a post Baditude made about the PWM, and the general difference between the Provari and most Chinese made PVs. That extra force is irritating to me, it increases the amount that I cough, and makes the vapor get hot much faster which adds to the irritation.

    Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm pretty unsure of where to go from here, too. I was just gonna get myself an Anyvape but no one seems to carry them anymore. Would an eVic have a lesser PWM than the Provari?

Sorry that you are initially disappointed in your Provari. :(

May I ask some general questions before commenting?

    • What are you using for your juice attachment?
    • What ohm is it? What voltage range have you tried?
    • Have you tried a different juice attachment on the Provari?
    • What other personal vaporizer have you used before?
    • How long have you been vaping?

ummm maybe try turning it down a little. because of the accurate voltage setting I wouldnt try to vape at the same settings as on the anyvape

Thanks for the reply, Baditude :)
For juice attachment I've been primarily using my ZAP. While I don't really love it's draw, the airy ness of it has helped some.
Other ones I've tried: 2 AGA-Ts, a vivi nova, a V-Core, and a long time ago some CE3s with an adaptor.

The ohms have been all over the place. My ZAP has been at 2.5 ohms for a while. I think my AGA-T was 2.1, the build that's on one right now is 1.8ohms.
    I don't remember what the vivi, v-core, or the CE3s were :(

The voltages I've tried... Man... I use this chart: http://www.ecigadvanced.com/community/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/power.jpg
I wish that, through out my entire vaping experience I would have been more scientific and written down exactly what voltage I've been using on what ohms. Right now, I only remember what I've been using recently.
That is: ZAP at 2.5ohms, from 3.3 volts up to 3.7 volts. When I get up to 3.7 volts, or try anything higher, it gets too hot for me.
I can vape the ZAP on the Anyvape from 3.3 volts up past 3.7, and get a much better experience.

I've tried several personal vaporizers, but the Provari and the Anyvape are the only two AVPs. The others: Volt 808 auto, V4L Titan, V2, ego (never owned one), and a long time ago... M402, M401, TW 901.

I've been vaping the Provari since May, had been going strong since February. I've regressed quite a bit.

I'll have to do that test again, and I'll try that. Thanks Thrasher!

I've also found I use lower voltage settings with my provari than most china made vv/vw devices I've used, including the Anyvape.

To me, the provari is a smoother consistent vape throughout the battery life.

Don't let what "everyone else" likes in the way of voltage and ohm's be your guide.

When I got my first mod I used 2.5 ohm premade attys and they were too hot with a fresh battery. I thought the now old school 8 - 8.5 watts "sweet spot" was nuts. And, when I broke down and got my first vari (a quality one), I vaped it on the lowest setting for a long long time. Even now, I often have my provari set at 3.7......with 3.0 ohm cartos.
