Quick question; wrapped up a quad micro coil on a Helios atty clone just for fun when i got bored. Popped it on a nemesis with a fully charged 18650 and it look like 5 seconds to get any vapor out. And when it did make vapor it was weak and thin.

Before i put the cotton in the coils would light evenly but it would take about 7 or 8 seconds before they got glowing hot. What causes this?

looks to me like you are using 28 ga and with that many wraps it should take pretty long yeah

try higher ga and less wraps

I swear by 33ga nichrome because of the instant power up, my 28 ga and 30 ga kanthals are collecting dust (got ripped off too...what the hell $1 per foot when 100 foot on amazon is less than 5 bucks). Oh well,

Was reading about .8ohms

28g. Might have used too much cotton and too many wraps. There was an MNKE 18650 in there. The orange ones. Also, i agree the coils were too close. But when i do wuads on m nimbus or patriot theyre that close and work fine. I just rewrapped a wuad same thing. I did 6 wraps on each coil, used less cotton and soaced them farther away and still barely fired. Pretty sure its just because the atty is a POS clone. Hahaha. Lesson learned: no clone attys?
