helios rebuildable acting weird any thoughts?

i just got a helios rebuildable in the mail today it was already wrapped so i took the silica out and was just dry burning the coil popped on the second time so i wrapped it myself and for some reason it cuts off after a few seconds some longer than others its a dual coil running at .56 ohms its on my chi you clone with a sony vtr4 i think its called now i have changed batteries and that didnt change anything i put my igo w3 quad coil and that works fine everytime its onlt when i put the helios on my chi you that it does this anyone have any ideas? i do have a one of those fuse chips in there for shorts also


edit its working now but im going to leave this up incase someone has an explanation or it does it again

Second edit a half way charged battery which I was using when it was working I replaced with a fully charged battery and back to it cutting off so I tried another fully charged battery same thing this is so weird

Just an idea...

Does your "fuse chip" have a maximum current limit? If so, you may be exceeding it. 0.56 ohms at 4.2 volts (fresh off the charger) is 7.5 amperes. Some fuse devices have a maximum current limit of 5 amps (which would require a minimum resistance load of 0.84 ohms).

That's something that crossed my mind but on everything else I use I'm usually at .6 ohms and have no problems

Yes the amp limit on the fuse is causing it.My Holocron ShortStop fuse has an amp limit of 5 amps and does the same thing with builds lower than .5

Try it without the fuse. Your ct4's can handle that easily.
