Godzilla is my favorite online person now. This mod completely replaces my Mega 510. The battery life is about 2 hours more than what I normally get, there's no cutoff time ever compared to my Joye passthrough. It's just dandy. The batteries are cheaper, the construction is great, the button is all clicky and the LED is brighter than the surface of the sun.

It's a great product.

Some cons(because there is always room for improvement):

-Next to the battery connector, I notice that when I removed my last battery that the socket was heating up with the atomizer, causing plastic next to the socket to heat up and melt slightly along the battery slot in the top corner. I think this is more a limitation of the project boxes he's using because of the size but a little wiggle room would solve it rather quickly.

-The button has an area that slightly hangs off the side of the box mod but also this is just a limiation of the project box he uses, there isn't any room for it anywhere else unless he mounts it on the removable back with a longer wire or something. Because the button is nearly too large for the project box, it also puts pressure on the sides of the box and sometimes causes the battery cover to shove off a bit on one side, as a matter of fact, it always does and I always have to slightly bend the back to get it back on because it isn't quite as wide as the case due to the button and battery stretching the plastic.

I expect it to last me a very long time, it's a quality built mod but I do suggest finding a project box that is a teensy bit bigger than what you're using. Overall, it is amazing.

it seems to be the nut that holds the button on, it pushes on the battery compartment, bowing out that side of the box.

Mine is the same way, slightly bowing the side out, but I dont mind it. I am curious as to if this is the same "issue" (I say issue lightly, because its really not one) on the 5v box mods or if there is more room.

the space inside the mods are the same for both. Just the spot were 1 batter would go in the box. Neither of my mods seem to have this.

just to address the questions about the bowing. Just about all of the boxes that I build have a slight bow. Its quite a trick to get the hole drilled absolutely center, and if its not within a hair of center, the nut will not even screw onto the button. The boxes typically will be bowed slightly, but sliding the battery compartment door should keep it firmly in place. if anyone has an issue with this, and the door does not stay on, its not right, and I want to trade it out for you. I am a little low on stock of boxes until the end of next week, but no worries.

Not much I can do about bowing, except by using the smaller, much cheaper sealed tacktile switch, but I really like the feel of the bigger horn switch. Plus it mounts very securly into the box, whereas the sealed tacktile switch just gets glued in place with a hot glue gun.

Nothing should be getting hot enough to melt the box. sometimes I have to melt the plastic slightly (the plastic holding the positive battery contact) to allow for the battery to contact it. The other thing I do is sometimes put a little solder on the positive battery contact to raise it up a little bit so the battery can reach it.

The main challenge is that these boxes are manufactured for AA batteries, and protected 14500 are a smidgen longer because of the protection circuits.

I really try and avoid cutting the spring to allow these batteries more room, but that is an option. the reason I dont like to clip the springs if I dont have to is that it can leave a sharp point on the spring near where it touches the battery, and it can damage the plastic covering on the battery.

Sorry about the delay. We were at the SF Giants game tonight (the kids first baseball game) and we froze our arses off. Even with jackets and a blanket. But we were in the second row just behind the dugout. Got an autograph for the kids from a Reds player. Dont ask me who it was please :)

I was just telling steve that I went to the store and forgot to use my on/off switch on my 3.7. the button got pushed up against my phone and pocket fired left my clear carto almost bent in half and smoking. Box is 100% fine however lol. i'll tell you all like I told him. Don't drink and vape!

Well both my boxes came yesterday and there both amazing, they pwn my volt kit into the ground. Every Flavor i have tried tastes 5 X better in these and the vapor is thick. The sugar cookie is so addictive. So, I did receive my 2.5 ohm duel coils from nhaler and loaded 1 up with the cappuccino. These tend to run kinda hot with a crackle and sizzle, the taste is good and they hold a good bit of juice. I think for the price I will personally just stick with the BOGE 2.8-3.0 carts. I really could not tell to big a difference and it seems like I get better pulls on the BOGE.

Steve, I just want to say thank you very much for the nice packing and the little extra's. I am enjoying these so much, there great! Better than I expected them to be.

Ok ,back to toking this suger cookie till I pass out. Laterz

Hey Rift. Great report!

The RY4 is excellent on both but I got 6 days of tastiness at 5 volts in a single Boge carto. 6 days in a single carto makes me happy. Just keep it moist. I prefer 5 volts for any juice that stands the higher heat/wattage because I get a little more flavor.

Steve,

All I can say is "wow!" I sorta felt silly buying a 3.7 volt mod from you, because I already have a few Ego-type batteries in my arsenal, but I'm telling you...the 3.7 volt mod you make is better than any other device I use in that voltage range. Add to that, the cool color-changing LED hidden behind the translucent white case is a real eye-catcher. In fact, Mrs. Ciego has threatened to "borrow" the new white 3.7 box mod...borrow...yeah, right... and you might be getting a reorder from me sooner than you know. LOL

Today I'm using the 5 volt box mod with the blinding blue LED, vaping KBV Caramel Cappuccino from the fresh 510 carto you thoughtfully included with the 3.7 volt kit. It is delicious. A bit of a caution is in order here; if you overfill a carto, then vape at 5 volts, it might just spit hot juice into your mouth, as happened with me this morning. As is the case for all cartomizers, keep them filled and moist, but not overfull and wet. Ouch! <grin>

Thanks again for the great product and customer service. The mods are very well built and an incredible value.
