YAY! Ima take notes. I just don't get it.
Atomic cinacide w/lr on 5v IS NOT MY FAVORITE! j/k me and basscase were trying all kinds if carp and I didn't bring any attys-doh! 5lbs of kbv, both my fox box mods and cartos-anyway I wasnt getting any vapor on his 3.7-so let's just say not a problem on the 5v fbm! (Did I say the pool had a nice bar with pretty drinks?
At the risk of sounding like a broken record- KBV MOMMAS ANGEL WINGS IS DIVINE ON 5V! Num,num, num

!
I am going to do a video tonight on ohm ratings and voltages.

No you cannot use the 1.5 at 5 volts. Way too much wattage. I personally use a 2.5 dual coil at 5 volts and stick to 3 ohms or higher on attys and cartos at 5 volts. 3.7 volt vaping is best at 2 ohm or below

Wow, just ordered a 3.7v Friday morning and got it today! All the way from CA to a small town north of Atlanta GA in 2 working days! I've just used it for the 1st time on a Standard res 510 carto (2.5 ohm?) that I already had on my eGo and the vapor production is markedly increased. The craftsmanship of this box is spot on and I really like the way it fits in either hand. I'm left handed so I was wondering if it would be awkward but it's very comfortable in either hand using the middle finger to depress the horn button. I'm really new to vaping, only started 3 weeks ago and I'm so glad I found ECF. I bought an eGo clone kit and was happy with it (but not the preloaded cartridges that came with it) I knew I'd need liquid and more attys, carts, or cartos and as I read threads from forums and sub forums to glean as much knowledge and recommendations as possible I came across a post (I can't remember the poster or I'd give him/her credit) that extolled this mod. As my son (also former smoker now) wanted me to get him a kit like mine I said to myself- "heck I"ll just give him my kit and get me a foxy box!"

One of the best decisions I've made yet. This thing is awesome! I also want to thank Godzilla for including the instructions for the proper use of the protected batteries and the mod. The plastic carrying case for carts, juice, and extra battery was an extremely nice touch and the sample bottle of KBV caramel cappuccino was icing on the cake. He even signs the inside of the cover! Couldn't be more pleased! Did I already say that? As soon as I get some more extra cash up I'm definitely going to get a 5v version. Thanks Steve!

That happens one in a great while to me where the protection circuit turns the batt off. Mark that battery and keep an eye on it. I can always send you another battery.

OK, so letting the protection circuit cut off the battery is bad for them?
I usually change them out when the vapor production drops off, but all of mine have been cut off by the circuit at least a time or two, when I wasn't really paying too much attention.

Hey I'll try and get some pics of my 5 Volt rocking one of those Nhaler 2.5 ohm clear carto's. I tried my other with vermillion Rivers Malibu Pineapple and its just amazing. Guess my RY4 needs to sit and steep longer. But this Pineapple juice its amazing. They also can be cleaned out very easy. They hold so much juice as well, about 2 ML. I dunno hehe there good lots of vapor but I do need to take harder pulls over the BOGE but its not too bad. Ill try and get pics up asap.

Nope, never said it was bad for them. With the 3.7 you can tell it's coming, but with the 5 volt there is no way to know because the voltage never drops below 5 volts before cutoff.

Well that's good to hear (read)! I was thinking I'd have to give up absentmindedly vaping while I surf, lest I kill my batteries.

I confess . . . . I'm a technotard . . . that said . . . I have had the batts on my 5 volt mods cut out and each and every time, it was because the carto had gone bad . . . I freaked the first time and thought the batts were faulty . . . I had a brain fade and checked the cartos ( Boge 2.8-3.0) on my Provari . . . sure enough, the ohms were either way high or way low . . . trashed them and loaded new . . . Presto! YMMV, but that's what I have experienced . . . Mike

When using both of the mods together, its always a very very good idea to check the voltages of your batteries frequently. I keep my multi meter at my charging station. Heck I should wire up a box with a voltage meter attached to it, just for checking batteries. That is why I lable all of my 5v batteries, each set with a different letter. The batteries for the 3.7 I write a big "S" on it so that I know it is for my 3.7. It is not good to put a fully charged batt, and a discharged bat into the 5v box. That is how batteries can "vent" and can get a little crazy. These batteries are protected. Keep in mind, a protection circuit can fail, which is why it is always good to be safe with these batteries. This is why I tell my customers not to charge them unattended, and do not leave them in the charger over night.

Great info Mike on the beat cartos. We are going to see that more often now that they are coming up with better cartos, that can last longer. resistance changes over time in an atty or carto, and i think if it starts to under 2 ohms, the circuit will kick in on the 5 volt. This is why the 1.5 dual coils will not work on the 5 volt. I have heard by at least one other vaper of a 5 volt box mod that they do work, but even if it did, it would be way too many watts, and would get way to hot. Every time i have tried one the protection circuit kicked in.

If you have been through the trouble shooting guide, pop in a new carto and give that a whirl. I dont think I included that nice tidbit in my directions.

New stock arrives on Wednesday, and I should have more black 3.7s with master switch in stock and ready to ship by Friday.

I still have a few available. Check the list above, and PM me with what you want, and I will let you know if i can do it.
I have at least one of everthing listed above.

Steve

Low resistance works dynamite on the 3.7

Ain't that the truth! I can be vaping along happily on the 5v and the led starts blinking. Just don't see it coming. On my little 3.7's I can tell when the batt gets to about 3.7-3.8v's.

Hey Dr.

my response was not pointed to you. If you have trouble with that battery, let me know. I have no issue with sending you another matched set. Just holler.

Steve

Will do, but I don't believe I let it get all the way dead before I was charging it anyway. I will check it, though.

I use 2.5Ω on my 3.7's, just right for me. I found that the two, 2.0Ω I tried, the juice went thru them like gas goes thru a 4 barrel carburator. Worked great, but just uses to much juice.

How are you getting that ohm character in there? alt??? I don't know the number for that symbol.
