QUERYL: vaping in public bars, clubs...

Am new to e-cigs scene and never actually seen anyone use it in public establishments (bars, pubs, etc.). So am wondering about what would be a polite ettiquite? ie... asking permission from bar staff?

Does anyone vape in pubs, bars, and what experiences did you get?

I believe Wetherspoons (urgh) don't allow them, but who wants to go in one of them anyway? I've not been refused yet. I carry a little business card with me with some bullet point facts on them (from my JAC Vapour supplier) and ask if they have any objections. My favourite pub locally welcomed me as landlady was familiar with them. Had a few arguments and situations with punters but remain polite and things usually work out. Just ask when you enter anywhere and be prepared to spend a few minutes explaining. One pub where my parents live in Stoke actually have a sign up saying it is legal. Always worth explaining that it couod be good for business.

Thanks Chrissie. You have welcomed me before when I first joined, but I'll accept another one!

I'm only nine weeks in to this vaping lark but had quite a bit of experience with vaping in pubs. Just a shame I can't get the powers that be at work to let us use elsewhere but the smoking shelter.

hi all, i just ask for the manager or the person in charge and ask them if its ok 2 vape, up2 now never been refused.
but its always nice to ask just incase D'oh! went to indian restaurant ask if i could vape they said yes but sit in the waiting area then he came over and asked wot it was lol as he had never heard of it lol

I'm still in the habit of sneaking my pulls in public places --- so far i've "gotten away" with it everywhere -- Maccy D's, BK, KFC, shepherds bush empire --- Im slowly gaining confidence with my public vapin --- i casually vape on the underground & buses ----Im yet to see someone else vape though in public (other than my mates)

Stealth vaping... that's my usual technique for public places, but each one has to be judged individually, and some publicans are happy to let you vape in their boozer...

Really funny having a stealth vape in the local Morrisons sometimes though, if people do notice... especially young 'uns... The look you get from a shocked youngster, for being a naughty adult is just priceless...
