Question about 510 vs. 901

Can someone please explain the difference? I have a KGO which I guess is neither a 510 or 901?

I was just looking at these.

901
Empiremods Bridge Free LR901 1.7ohm Which looks like it's female threaded?

and this

510 which looks like it's male threaded?

Empiremods Bridge Free LR510 1.5ohm

Also, is this statement true?

"if you get into mods or anything, 90 percent are 510 connection based and the other 10 is 901's"

Your kgo is 510 threaded as far as I know. And a lot of stuff is 510 threaded, but I don't know if it's 90%. I went with a 510 when I first started because the parts are interchangeable with egos, kgos, etc.
