Question about battery charging

Will charging a battery, even when it's not fully run down, shorten the lifespan of it?

In other words, is it bad to keep my batteries fully charged all the time?

Li-ion batts should not be drained to a point of less than 20%. Researched this point very thoroughly. Here's a post that explains it:

From my limited understanding it is best to recharge before your battery is fully drained. It will extend it's life. The only time I have been told this is wrong is when storing. It's best to store at 80% charged. IDK why but I got the info directly from a distributor.

In general, it is good for lithium batteries not to run them all the way down because making them work hard when low can be more strain on them. On the other hand, rechargeable batteries are good for some number of recharges (around 200 for slim ecig batteries, maybe more or less)

Are you trying to vape with just one battery? Buy a second. I charge early but I don't charge constantly.

If you are using a proprietary battery, like an ego, kr808d-1, etc.,not just a "raw" battery, it's entirely fine to vape them to cutout (the point where the pv flashes multiple times, stops producing vapor). They have circuitry that cuts out when the voltage has dropped to the end of the useable range.

Actually I forgot one point. When I first received my Starter Kit I fully charged the batteries. I found that the batts lasted approx 36 hrs so now at the end of 24 hours I charge them. I also make an indelible mark on the batt so I know how many times it's been charged.
