I've been using a ego twist and a vivi nova, but since traveling with those two is a hassle I plan on buying a PCC with a 510 battery and blank cartridges to make it easier to travel with.

My question is which blank carts are the best since I want the best flavor/quality for the price? I just ordered a sample pack from Halo and saw their carts and thought it would be nice to have multiple of them for different flavors, and cost about the same as replacing atomizers for my nova.

Are carts worth it or should I stick with tanks for the best quality vape when I'm not traveling. And how long does a typical blank cart last before needing to be thrown away and replaced? I try dripping into some prefilled blu magnificent blu carts, and I only get about 4 drops before it's full and then the vapor is crap out of the other juice I try vape with out of it.

Thanks for any help! and happy Independence day!

I haven't used cartomizers solo for nearly a year. I use them only in cartotanks. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/baditude/3710-5-cartomizer-tank-setup.html

Anyway, you didn't ask for that. The carto brand that I use in my cartotanks, and you could use solo, are Ikenvape. These are a premium carto and the best you can buy IMHO. These come blank in either standard resistance or low resistance. SR will give a cooler vape, the LR will give a warmer vape.

Ikenvape Mega Platinum SR IKV 510 MEGA Platinum STD

Ikenvape Mega Platinum LR IKV 510 MEGA Platinum LR 2.0Ω

Don't delay ordering these. They are extremely popular and frequently sell out.

Halo makes EXCELLENT cartos. They are 808 threaded though, but that is actually a benefit for cartos though. If you are just getting a new kit for travel purposes, I wouldn't go with a 510. If you do decide to go with an 808, regardless of which, I would purchase the Halo LR cartos, very very easy to refill and they last a damn long time compared to the standard carto. They also offer mini-tanks which will give a better vape generally if you want.

As for how long cartos last, usually I see people doing about 1-3 a day depending on how heavy they vape. Get an easy to re-fill one and it won't really matter.

ahh so the Halo carts won't fit my ego twist (510)? Damn!

So the guy above me suggestion some 510 carts, any other high quality ones? I mean I did quit cigs and I spend a lot less to have a high quality vape.

Also how long do the carts last before needing to be thrown away? Is there a way to clean them? If not I shouldn't put different flavors into one cart? I just wanted to use those because I would be looking to purchase a PCC similar to blu's so I could travel and smoke them whenever without a big hassle or something. Thanks again.

When I used to use cartos I used Kanger Horizontial coils. I just liked them better. Before I discovered tanks ( now I just use evods and T3's) I would fill up like 2 or 3 and that would get me through my work day without me having to worry about refilling them.

Now you might want to try something like the Evod or the T3. The T3 does holds more. But to me I just like the hassle free convienance of them Just fill a couple and your good for the day. And the replacement heads are super cheap and easy to clean. You get a 5 pack for like 6 bucks and if you keep them clean mine usually last me a few weeks.

Yeah I have a tank, but I'm wanting to have a battery/cart to fit a PCC like the blu's e-cigs are in to charge if they go dead, and have backups carts/battery that can fit in my pocket like a regular pack of cigs. Just looking for a high quality cart to buy so I can refill with my juice instead of buying prefilled carts.

Halo cartos use a different filler so they last a very long time before they actually burn out. I've heard of people using them for months.

If you are getting a full new kit for a mini for traveling, I would still recommend an 808 over 510.

A typical cartomizer will go through about 30 ml of juice (large commercial juice vendor bottle). How long it will last time wise is hard to say because it depends up a lot of other factors. How heavy you vape, how thick or dark the juice is. If you are only using one or if you rotate between two or three other cartos.

It's important to fill them properly and to top them off frequently with additional juice. A downside to cartos is you can't actually see the juice level. If used in a tank, you can easily see when to refill the tank. Never let a carto go dry; it will taste burnt, and once that happens you'll never get that taste out.

When a carto's draw becomes tight or stiff, it's time to replace it.

haha cool nice video, saving the link.

Also does anyone know any good PCC's like blu's cases? What would be considered high some high quality carts? Or should I just buy a blu starter kit or is there better batteries/carts? I was thinking about the halo carts, and a high quality battery/pcc case.

thanks a lot!

These aren't Joyetech, but good prices for 510 kits: Starter Kits

Oops, sorry! No PCC.

Yeah I'm hoping to find a good PCC :|

Are the smaller batteries that are analog look alike with a blank cart just as a good as my ego twist with a vivi nova? Or will I not like it since I'm vaping with something better?

I just think the PCCS would be awesome to have and would feel like carrying around analogs with no vivi nova / twist in my pocket which the nova is too big lol.

any suggestions would help, thanks~

Have you considered an e-roll?

yeah, but I want something to hold carts too!

check this one out

this looks like something I would want, maybe something better looking or higher quality

anyone know any top brands for PCC?

this can hold 8 carts/2 batteries and charges them! looks fantastic!

That looks like the Kanger K808D. It's the only PCC I know of that charges 2 batteries at once. There are other PCC on the market, of course, but the only one other one I've seen with a brand name in Joyetech. (I could very well be wrong though.)

I started out with a brand called Tececig. They are overpriced and I wasn't all that impressed with the performance of their batteries or cartomizers. However, I do like the pcc that came with my kit.

It will charge an 808 threaded battery in either 65mm or 78mm battery length. It also holds two cartomizers. The pcc is about the same size as a pack of king size cigarettes but about half the thickness. A nice feature is that it shuts off automatically when the battery is charged so you don't have to keep an eye on it.

It works great for charging my Volt standard batteries. It will charge two batteries before the pcc itself needs recharged.

I don't see much talk about the brand on here, and rightfully so, but this is a good little pcc in my opinion.

The TeCab doesn't have 510 threads? Bummer! Never mind, I thought you meant the TeCab.

that is nice too, is the one I posted up for sale anywhere or have a name?

What is the best battery for those cases? I see the different threads for them...I'm looking for the best battery/best blank carts in quality and vapor that is similar to my vivi nova/twist..

I googled that case you posted up, looks nice and only cost $15...this is going to be my choice if I can't find a better one. thanks!

edit: is the blu start kit any good? they have a nice PCC

I didn't watch the video, but it looks like this one:

KR808D-1 XL Smart PCC Charging Case

ETA: It's the only one I know if that charges 2 batteries at once.
