I'm using a friends REO for a few days... hey there Andy... and the juice he had in it was a menthol. I tried to dry up any juice by twirling some paper towel through the tube so I could try out my tobacco flavor.

But, I have a feeling that the tube is similar to most atomizers.. Once you it goes menthol, it doesn't go back.

Any suggestions for what to do to get the menthol out? Obviously I'm not going to take HIS REO apart and replace the tube, but I'm looking at down the road. Since I started using it, I'm fed hooked!

Welcome, BGabe :)
There are a few things you can try. First, remove the bottle, battery, and atomizer. You can use hot water, alcohol, vinegar or lemon juice to flush through the tube. You will also want to clean the bottle, the cap, and most importantly, the o-ring that you will find in the cap. That one piece is the worst in hanging on to flavors. You can boil it in hot water, or give a good soaking in alcohol....that should help clear up any flavor issue. And before you ask, no...you don't have to remove the tube to do any of this. :)

Ah. See I took the cap off of the tube and even rinsed it in hot water. But, I didn't take the o-ring out. Now I know! Thanks!

Some flavors just want to stay around! Cinnamon is another that will prove hard to remove. The above methods work. When you get YOUR REO, you will probably want to use different bottles and atomizers for different flavors. I use lots of DIY juice that blend well. I even add to a half full bottle with another flavor!

Menthol is something I like. But I do find that it will stay around if I don't rinse and soak everything. I don't mind it though. I have had some interesting blends with a slight menthol taste!

You can order extra tubing and o-rings if you want to change everything when you change flavors.
