Hey gang.

I noticed with one of my cartos (in a tank) that e-juice was building up on the top screw of the IPro. Took a paper towel, curled it up and rotated to absorb the liquid. I then used a Qtip with some rubbing alcohol to clean. Is there a buffer, or piece of metal or something so juice doesn't find its way down into the circuitry? I'd hate that liquid leaked in there and messed everything up.

Thanks.

Free I'm glad you caught your leak and cleaned it, using the alcohol, paper towel and q-tips was the right thing to do. It happens...I check mine a couple of times a day just to be safe. Normally juice won't go under the o-ring under your screw unless it's a really bad leak or one that's been leaking for long periods.

If you are handy and feel comfortable doing it, you can follow the instructions on the "Replacing your top cap" thread and take a peek under the hood to make sure it stays clean. Just remember that the hot wire is attached to a screw directly under the top cap screw so you have to work gently!

I clean mine with a qtip also. But have yet to have any leak with my tank. I am using a single small punched hole. If I feel the carto needs a bit more juice I give a sharp quick draw and that will pull some juice in.

If you hear any gurgling in your carto you will likely have a leak

Oh Gawd Free...I hear ya on the cheaters and age LOL! Ark is right, that gurgling sound means a probable leak. I lay my BP on it's side every few hits to let the juice absorb evenly up thru the carto.

See these little doo hickies? They are wonderful to have in your vape arsenal!! These little buggers ream right down the center tube of your carto and can pick up the slop that might be in there. I keep them handy, along with a couple of paper towels and a box of kleenex on my desk!!

I mentioned this elsewhere in this Forum, but you can also get sealed adapters to use on your equipment that will prevent juice from getting down into your PV. Their inexpensive and can prevent this juice problem from ever happening. These are carried by another vendor, but if you want to know where to get them send me a PM.

For those who don't know what an adapter is, its just a tiny device that screws onto your PV and then you screw your carto/atty into it. In this case, the adapter is sealed and juice can't run from your carto/atty down into your device.

As Tracey said, it "makes me happy that I am using that sealed adapter!"
