Hey guys,

I gave up the "analogs" on New Year's Eve. Haven't had any crazy cravings...more like I was just a bit sad that I couldn't light up while strolling around the neighborhood.

I have purchased a cheap disposable from 7-11 to hold me over ... it kind of sucks! However, I finally found the njoy King, and I am saving it because I am excited to try it.

With the cig-alike disposables, will the battery die without puffing on the device very much? In other words, if I have let's say 20 drags or so from my njoy King today, and maybe 20-30 tonight ... will this thing be alive tomorrow morning? Is it TIME that draws from the battery, or merely PUFFS that draw from the battery?

Many thanks for the help! Good forum.

I bought a Blu disposable a little over a year ago to see if would be something that I would enjoy. Flavor was better than the rest, and its a really cool looking battery too. Being a little larger than cigarette size, it lasted for 3 days of pretty constant use. But, at like $8 each...you are always better off just buying a small kit of some kind if it works for you.

Turn around...
but is that because you were smoking it for 6 continuous hours? What if I was to smoke it sporadically today, and sporadically tomorrow? Would it last for just as many puffs, in the end?
Yes thats because I was vapn it 6 hours straight non stop pretty much. If you use it it sporadically it should last a few days depending on the use. The battery is rated for so many puffs. After each draw it shuts off. There is a pressure sensitive switch inside that activates the battery, so its not on all the time.

Hey guys, so here's an update. I have smoked the NJoy King sporadically all weekend, starting on Friday night (while drinking beers most of the night) through the present, and it's still working.

Honestly, I think part of the reason it's still going, is because I was a bit disappointed - it's really not that similar to smoking a cigarette, to me. I had read reviews that indicated that this thing feels exactly like a cigarette, and I guess I had unfairly high expectations. That being said, it generally does the trick, and I have not had a very strong desire to smoke a real cigarette. A few points:

- I like the squishy filter area, but I wonder if they can make the exterior of the whole device out of that same material? Where I hold the e-cig, or any cig, is just past the squishy part, which is more of a hard/rigid/more slippery plastic that makes me very "aware" that I'm not holding a real cig.

- The throat hit is decent, but I feel like it's a lot of labor to get a drag out of this thing, as opposed to a real cig, which is pretty easy to draw from.

I really like the idea of the disposables, since (as you can see by my infrequent use) I'm not planning on using these things very regularly, but only as a crutch when I do have cravings. I hear that NJoy will be releasing a new and improved disposable product in a few months, so I am excited to see if they have improved on any of the criticisms I personally have with the King.

Also, I have noticed that after even just a few drags, my throat has a burning sensation. Is this caused by the chemicals in the juice? It's rather disconcerting, and I wonder if I'm doing my throat/lungs a fair amount of harm?

There is only so much power that you can get from those little batteries. Something with a little more power might get you the throat hit that you are seeking.

I would be scared of breaking the battery or the battery leaking if it were in a soft material, but I guess if it is a disposable anyway it would not be that big of a deal if they were not super durable.

Who knows what they put in the juices that they use for those things. The disposables more than likely all come from China, and the China juice from what I have always heard about it is horrible. Blu claims that they use juice that is made in the US, I would imagine that the disposables get the same as the regular kits.

I was wondering the same thing, how does 4.5 equate is mg terms?

That equates to 45mg, the kings are a very strong disposable, just tried one myself and havent had a better disposable to date, there also probably a good one to give to a smoker to get them into vaping, for someone that needs a cig look a like, just my opinion

The entire King IS actually made out of the same material as the filter portion. It's one solid length of soft plastic tubing that's then covered with adhesive paper. The reason the filter is the only really squishy part is because there is a battery inside the foward section, and batteries (or at least the ones we vapers use) are hard, not soft. The filter portion is filled with soft polyfill, so there is nothing to maintain the stiffness of the tube, so the filter feels squishy.

Unless you use batteries with the density of a sponge that you can squish, or use a battery that is so tiny it doesn't take up any space in the ecig, the main body will have to be at least as stiff as the King.

As far as your throat burning, I'm thinking that's probably the nicotine. At 45mg, the juice in the King is strong. That high of nic might be uncomfortable to some people, kind of like how dip burns the heck out of some people's lips or gums, but doesn't bother other people as much. Although it is always possible that Njoy put something new/different in the King to try and replicate a cig even better. But personally, I've gone through literally dozens of Kings and never had any abnormal throat or mouth feelings.

That's unfortuante that you weren't happy with how well the King replicates a real cig, there is an EXTREME amount of hype about the King so that probably ruined it for you heh heh. The only way to 100% match a real cig is to actually use a real cig. The King may not be close enough to a cig for your taste, but it is THE MOST accurate of ANY eCig on the market. If the King aint close enough, NOTHING will be.

Who knows what US juicers put in their juice? There is no regulation, anywhere, in regards to juice making. While some US juicers do get their juce tested and abide by various self imposed standards, the truth is you really aren't any safer buying US juices, and you don't really know whats in it any better.

I can tell you for a fact that China juices such as Dekang are produced in a highly professsional lab environment, not some dudes garage or kitchen. They are safer and more consistent, and are using base materials sourced from US companies (DOW I beleve, although probably from a Chinese based DOW plant I'd imagine)

Many people don't like PG levels as high as Dekang, or don't like the kind of fake candy-like flavoring they use, some people just don't like buying non-American juice period. But there is nothing wrong with Dekang, it's a quality juice, and I'd debate that with anyone.
