Tried that, made it really lose, it works better, vape is not as thick. But it doesn't overheat,

That is a HUGE center hole... that will definitely cause wicking issues with the mesh. try rolling around a sewing needle, that is honestly a little too big as well, but much better than a toothpick. remember, it's the surface area of the mesh that causes the wicking to happen, it will probably help your juice overflow issue as well, because with it configured as it is right now, the tube is acting as a straw, a very tiny straw, but a straw nonetheless. LOL, that was a really long sentence that I don't feel like re-writing..

I use a paper clip straightened out, and use a piece of SS 12-14mm wide, length varies. Works for me :) The condensation is juice splatter, this occurs when you are running HOT and the juice when heated rapidly literally explodes off the wicks and splatters on the inside of the shield, with out proper feed back holes you get pooling. I have learned to turn the heat down and it vapes better and does not splatter as bad cutting down on the pooling. My 2 cents.
