question about mvp 2 ego/510 connector stability

Hi all, this is my first post and would appreciate some insight. I have had my MVP 2 for about a month now and sometimes i just get nervous about it because its my baby lol.

Anyway, sometimes when I unscrew a tank or clearo from the 510 or ego connector, I dont unscrew it completely all the way and i will go to lift it out and I feel its still barely threaded and that it has some resistance. Once I feel that resistance, I immediately unthread it the tad more it needs to to get out.

My question is, how stable is the connector attached to the body? I guess what I'm asking is does pulling up and feeling that slight resistance have any chance of making the connector loose/fall out. Im not pulling hard, just gently but sometimes i unscrew it a quater turn or so too little and the threads catch. I am beginning to have this OCD thing where I feel if the tank doesnt come out perfectly that I have somehow damaged my PV.

any help or reassurance would be appreciated!

MVP's are built fairly well. I made a temporary lanyard hook for mine by wrapping wire around the beauty ring and had no issues using this for several days

and welcome to the ECF

I have been using the MVP2 at work for a good few months and I have never had an issue with the threads or instability. It is a pretty sturdy set up. I am sure you are just being a bit paranoid, not a terrible thing to have some time. The device will hold up, and will last you a good while. I have dropped it, sat on it, and even had a spill on it. Never had a misfire, loose stability or any issues.

Just vape and clear your mind of paranoia! You are good to go.

Mine should be here tmrw - the only way to charge it is via a computer? Or can I use and a plug in E cig charger (think it is for an EGO/KGO) which has a USB port?

I think as long as the charger puts out 2 amps it will charge fine. Cheaper USB charging bricks might not put out enough amps to charge it properly.

I just use my PC to charge it most of the time. I have also used my 2.1 amp USB cigarette lighter adapter in the car.

The MVP's connectors are solid. Some owners have had to pull the center connector pin to make electrical contact with certain delivery attachments. My first gen MVP fired all my eGo threaded and 510 threaded clearomizers just fine, but wouldn't fire the 510 connector on my cartotanks. I had to pull the pin, and now they work fine.

If you mean an eGo specific charger that screws on the 510 threads on the top- I don't think so. I know you can't on the VV3. Don't know if it just doesn't work or that it's a source of danger.

piggybacking on my earlier question to save a new thread... how tight should i be tightening my tank on? i always tighten it til i feel the slightest resistance and then a tiny bit more, but it always seems to come loose after a few toots. (I also suffer from chronic joint pain and my hands/grip arent as strong as they should be, idk if that has anything to do with it).

Just until it's good and snug. The problem people have is that they think they have to tighten it like a nut and bolt on an auto.

I've dropped my MVP 2 down a flight of subway stairs. Barely a scratch. You should be good on the threading. As for the question regarding the wall adapter someone posted earlier - yes, you can use a USB wall adapter. Use the USB cable the MVP came with, and plug it into any wall adapter you have with a USB port in it. Should be fine. I've been using an old iPhone wall adapter.
