Question about resistance

I am vaping on a itazte Mvp, with an Aspire CE5-S clearomizer. It works great for me. However, I've noticed that the resistance fluctuates often.
The atomizer says it's supposed to be 2 ohms, but when I press both buttons on the display, it reads as 0.8 right now. Last night it was 1.0. It's been going down slowly.
I have checked all my contacts, and they are all clean. I was wondering if anyone could help with this.

Hi Rifgarn and welcome to ECF!

Coils do "wander" a bit as far as ohms. This can be caused by the heat at the moment, the amount of juice on the coil or age of the coil. +/- .2 ohms isn't usually anything to worry about.

Rifgarn, I'm not quite sure what a itazte Mvp battery is I'm assuming it's either an ITASTE or MVP but either way your ohms should be increasing with time not decreasing.If this does persist I would try changing the coil head in your clearomizer, sometimes you get a bad one..

Hey Sparkky... Believe it or not, the packaging and the battery are actually labelled "iTazte". When I first got mine, I was afraid it was bogus, but all assured me it was o.k. My fingers don't like typing iTazte, but can handle iTaste much more easily

But, to your point, if the resistance is dropping, I'd be inclined to switch heads. I'll see mine move upward - especially when the coil is getting gunky; never see it go downward
