Question about sub ohm vaping

Hello fine people of the vaping world, I've been on my KBox Mini now for just over 3 months and I'm super happy with it, however I do have a question or a few questions with regards to sub ohm vaping.

Now I use the already made sub ohm (0.6 coil) coils that are supplied via kangertech now I've been reading about horror stories that ecigs will explode and all that horrible nasty stuff that it's kind of got me worried a little, (I don't want to go back on the analogues) so I'm using a high drain battery which is 20/40 A, I vape at the moment 30 watts, 4.3 volts, is this safe or should I be turning it down a wee bit?

Kind regards

Your fine man, that's more than enough to Amps in that battery! You can crank that puppy up to 80 even 100 watts if you want, if you want more clouds I would look into those .2ohm coils!

Let's separate your question into 2 parts
1. About explosion: those are human/user errors. Like putting a naked battery in your pocket along with coins, keys, etc. Those stupid people.
2. About your setup. I would assume you are using the Subox Mini set which includes the kbox and subtank mini. The 0.6 (it said 0.5 but my box also register 0.6) ohm coils, according to the spec, can handle 15-60 watts but I found the sweet spot around 27 watts. So, yes, it's safe to push to 30 watts but I wouldn't recommend more than that.
@Bn0_Vapes ... He can't crank that puppy up to 80 or 100 watts since the kbox's limitation is only 50 watts.

Hello guys cheers for helping me out, I have one last question, at one end of my battery one of the connectors has come off so now it doesn't hold inside my Kbox, I've remedied that by placing a bit of tin foil at the end so that it holds it in place and acts as a conductor to power up my mod, is this unsafe or should I be fine with that? I've not had any issues so far, also is it normal for a battery to be warm (not hot, bordering cool/warm) after a vape or few?

Many thanks again

If this is for real, put the Kbox down and slowly walk away.
No, that is def not safe. Toss the battery and get a new one.

However, I do believe I am getting the distinct odor of troll crap......

No I know, I was just saying if he had a box that went higher that's what I would do, those coils can handle a lot more than what the recommendation says on the package, I should have worded my statement differently, that's my fault!

Hey guys, I know it was a silly question, anyhoo, I did drop it a few weeks ago, and I could've sworn the battery wouldn't sit in nicely and that it was loose, so I've removed the tin foil (I know it's stupid but I didn't know) and now the battery sits nicely back in there, also just a note I checked to see pics of my Aspire Battery online, and it seems I didn't damage any connectors on it, the battery appears to be fine, I'm just stumped as to why it no longer rattles inside, seriously I could've sworn that's what happened, maybe I need to vape a lot less, could be tripping me out haha also another side note there's no extensive/major damages to my Kbox internal or external from what I can see

Yes, it is unsafe.
Especially if it is the positive end.

Either way guys sorry I sounded like an absolute ....., but yeah I was on the verge of purchasing a new battery as per the request of a poster, but then as I took the battery out to remove the dare I say it "tin foil" I put the battery in, and hey presto everything was fine
Some batteries that will fit that mod are not safe at 30 watts.

You asked about safety.

Without knowing what battery is in there, nobody knows.

I'm done here.

But if you post the answers to my prior questions someone will be happy to help.

Hello Beckdg it's this one here,

Aspire - 18650 battery(20A 2500mAh)
That looks to be an ICR chemistry battery.

I, personally wouldn't use it in that mod.

Though someone else may know details about that cell better than I.

Best bet is a 20 amp (or more) continuous rated IMR or INR battery from Samsung, LG, Sony or Panasonic battery.
