first:
are they all real "airy"?
I am a mouth to lung guy. The eleaf kit I got on the 60w is real airy. I can not for the life of me get a good hit.
Second:
should it always be this hot? The vape seems very hot compared to my eleaf 50w and the Kanger Arotank.
Just trying to see if I am doing this wrong..

Most are. Almost any tank/coil system you buy will be geared to the direct lung inhalers. If you're using juice with more than 6mg of nicotine it will be difficult to use that at the prescribed temperature levels. I have a bunch of Kayfun V4s and I build my own coils. I use titanium wire and I can do a great mouth to lung with temp control.

I am well passed the high nicotine levels. I was just looking for something a little different. Perhaps I may start to have a look at building. I really just like the ease of filling the tank and going down the road... I have a hobby already.

You can still build coils on a tank, assuming you pick the right one. I haven't had much luck on my subtank when it comes to TC but I picked up a Triton 2 which works much better with TC. It's still somewhat "airy" but not bad at all. with the airflow restricted it puts out fairly dense vapor.
