Question about the infamous stingray button!

Went to the B&M today and the guy working there had one, he sanded the lip off of the contact and it worked really smooth.

Thinking of getting the Stingray Ultimate Upgrade form fatDaddy..but it says "This will not fit hcigar model with modular tubing..."

I have a hcigar but will this upgrade work? The button look's the same in the picture...
