i recently purchased a bottle of "liquid state" peach tea eliquid and noticed that the label states an ingrediance list on the bottle. Vg usp, pg usp, nicotine usp, and nat and artificial flavored listed. Is ther any chance the nat and art flavor so could contain other ingrediance like a chemical to induce throat hit? I only ask because I am getting into diy. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Hey Rev..............check out these guys Best E Cigarette Liquid Flavors Supplies Online - E-Liquid(E-Juice) Made in USA they have some pretty good basic tutorials. As for your question.......it's certainly possible, but very unlikely. I say that because the PG component has two basic functions. 1. It is the most suitable for "carrying" the flavore components. 2. By varying the percentage of PG you can regulate how much of a "throat hit" you get. Higher percentage = greater throat hit. So instead of adding anything to create a greater throat hit, you just increase the percentage of PG.

Some flavors are harsher than others. My DIY cinnamon, for example, always hits hard first thing in the morning. Additionally, many flavors are carried in a PG base, which ups throat hit some. Your juice calculator ought to account for that when you set the flavor up, though. Welcome to the board.

There's an additive for ejuice called Flash, by FlavourArt, which accentuates throat hit. Apparently it's a natural ingredient, piperine, the active "tingly" chemical in black pepper. Much milder than the capsicum which gives hotter peppers their bite.

I buy Flash at ecigexpress.com; can't find it anywhere else.

Thanks for the info guys, I feel very welcome here and I appreciate it. Churchill, thank you for the link. The sight you showed me has some good prices on vg wich is always needed, and I'm a dripper guy. And Andria, I've been reading your posts for a while now any you input is always apriciated. I will defiantly check out the flash flavore. It's sounds like it is just why I'm looking for. I can tell you have been around the block with the diy sights and all the advice I have extracted so far has been spot on. Especially with the vz ultra concentrates. So thanks everyone and let's stay off those stinkies!

Northern NJ native , Coastal NC now.
The vast majority of vapors who DIY do not add a specific mix to increase "throat hit" , if you want throat hit it's best to opt for e juices with a 50/50 PG/VG ratio or even 70/30 PG/VG .

You may hear that all VG mixes are the way to go and thats hogwash "unless" you have a sensitivity to PG or our strictly a "cloud" worshiper , ( many people are cloud worshipers these days) mind boggling i know but people are into all types of weird stuff .

How else would you explain stuff like "Chia Pets" ( a clay pot that grows weeds ) so you can pretend it's hair or a Mr. Potato head for instance , (an Idaho potato that you pin plastic ears, nose and lips on) , it's just mind boggling to me.

I won't even get into the awesomeness of what people refer to as a "pet rock " (it's a stone for Gods sake people) , you can find one in your yard if you look hard enough , no need to blow $$ on one.

Even 85% PG is just fine if VG makes you feel you have a hairball in your lungs. But for me, it's not sufficient for good TH -- I use only 5mg nicotine, but even when I used 10mg nicotine, I added Flash.

TH is mostly from the nicotine, and higher PG can accentuate it. But some of us have never been able to vape a high level of nicotine; hence, the need for Flash.
