Question about the kick and LR atty's

Ok I was not sure where to post this but thought I would try here. I just recently bought the kick for my VMOD XL and it works great. What I did find though was after using the kick I could no longer use my LR 1.5 atomizers with my normal ICR battery? They no longer work, they still fire with the kick but not without it? Did I do something wrong? It works fine with a new atty but not the ones that I used the kick with. Did I set the kick to high or is this normal?

Kicks are made to work with IMR batteries only, and most probably 1.5 ohm atty is drawing too much amps on the ICR battery for the Kick to work right, and using ICR's with a kick can damage the Kick circuitry and your batteries. My here would be to invest in some good quality IMR's like some AW

Sorry maybe I needed tto explain better. I am using IMR 18490 batteries with the kick. It is when I remove the kick and go back to my 18650 ICR batteries that my atty's no longer work.

Is it exclusively the 1.5 ohm atties that are not firing? Or is it all atomizers? That would be worth a check. The only solution I can think of is the kick may be pushing up on the positive connector enough to make contact whilst the battery on its own isn't quite making contact with the centre posts of those atomizers.

Remember, always try adjusting the atty or carto first a little and never wrench on the threading or centre positive contact on the device itself.

Some trouble shooting could narrow down the problem.

Does the battery work with other atomizers?

If you have a multimeter, check the battery, it would read 4.2 when fully charged. Also, you could check the connector on your vmod with the icr battery in it to see what its doing when you press the button. Also check the resistance on the atomizer, if it is too low it might be activating the protection on the battery.

Any atomizer that I use with the kick no longer works with the ICR battery. New 1.5 atty's work just fine with the ICR battery but any atty including a 2.0 that I use with the kick are now useless with the ICR? All connections seem to be fine and the 1.5 and 2.0 attys that I used with the kick still work with it but not without it? The voltage is a good 4.2 with the battery charged and I have no idea how to check the resistance on the atty, Other than it says 1.5 ohm... Sorry still a little new to alot of this.

could it be that the battery no longer makes contact?

maybe when you switched to the Kick setup you crushed the spring or lodged something else out of place?

pics of both setups?
