I am new to mods and rechargeable batteries. I just picked up a Vamo 3 as well as both an xtar VP1 and WP2 II along with some AW IMR 18350 and 18650 batteries.

I understand I need to use spacer(s) to charge the smaller 18350s.

The WP2 II came with two (one in each channel).

However, even after unscrewing a spacer from Channel 1 and putting it into Channel 2 where there already was one spacer (for a total of two), an 18350 sits there with hardly any tension on the spring at all.

How many spacers per channel can and do you use? I'm really not interested in burning my house down.

Thanks.

I think I may just order an MP2 solely for the 18350s. And another VP1!!

My WPII 2 needs 2 spacers per channel for 18350's - no problem. They aren't super tight, but they are secure with 2 spacers.

ETA: Why are you ordering a bazillion chargers? Either my VP1 or WPII 2 more than keeps up with my charging needs. I've never been able to "out vape" the pace at which either of them gets batteries charged.

I have the Xtar MP2 for my multiple 19350 batteries, and based on my experience I wish I had ordered the Xtar WP2 instead. I detest flimsy spring loaded-anything, whether it is mods or chargers. The sliders used in the WP2 work so much better and would be well worth the few extra bucks more in the long run.

I don't stay in the same place long. I am going to keep the VP1 at home and plan on keeping the WP2 II in my bag/car for when I'm out.

It just seems the MP2 seems perfect for the 18350s. I don't have a problem keeping the VP1 and MP2 at home and using the VP1 exclusively for the 18650s and the MP2 for the 18350s (and keeping the WP2 II for use outside the house as mentioned). The 'extra' VP1 was more of a joke. I like the LCD display, but that's because I'm an IT nerd and former guitar player.
