Question about Vamos.

So I've been using a Vamo V1 for about a year now and it's still kickin' but the ol' gal seems like she's about ready to croak.

It was the first mod I ever purchased and at the time, I had no idea how to tell if something was genuine or a clone. I still don't when it comes to Vamo's.

I'm looking to get a Vamo V2, probably, but I haven't a clue who the "original" manufacturer of the Vamos are.

Anyone happen to know?

The 'vamo' has been produced by so many people at this point its difficult to discern who originally created it.

AFAIK i believe it was KSD that created the first vamo. Then everyone and their mother made um until now where they're all the way up to a Vamo V5 (really not much different than your v1).

That said i dunno if you could find an 'authentic' one if you wanted to (also dont know if it would make any difference), so just find the version you want at a good price and grab one, if you decide to replace it.

I'm sure they're mostly well made products. I'm just worried about getting a lemon.

i got a v2 on the 'bay for about $30 shipped. couldn't be happier. it's my first apv after using tons of basic ego/twist/etc. batteries. as far as clones go, if it works, it works, then what's the big deal?

Just got a KSD V5 from here Vamo v5 Variable Wattage Mod - USA Vaping Supplies a few weeks ago. Good price, really fast service. (3 days from order to hands!)

The newest iteration of the Vamo has the dna clone in it;

They'll be pricier but they'll be 20/30watts too, definitely worth thinking about.

After having the V2 for over a year, mine too got pretty beat up and the buttons were starting to misfire. I just got my V5 today (with the newest readout that shows ohms plus a battery level gauge when you fire it or adjust the volts or watts). I am thoroughly impressed with it. Much smoother power than the V2. I'd burn Smoktech T-dux 2.0 BDC tanks at 4 watts [while on RMS] on my V2, but with the V5 I can use the BDC at 7-8 watts without it tasting burnt. Huge difference in how it delivers power.
