I'd be wishing for more than a flare gun but would, at least, try it. I kinda fall into the shoot first and ask questions later after living in the boonies and dealing with wildlife.

I could and would kill someone who was threatening someone I love, whether it be friends or family.

I'm all down with non-violence as a form of political/social protest but I'd be killing someone threatening my pets/friends.
But, I do loves me some non-violence!

I haven't ever done any mercy killing. I took my best friend to get her bunny put to sleep, though. The poor little guy was so frail...
