Question for eVic owners

I need some advice. I have an offer to get an eVic below cost and I'm waging this war with myself...should I take advantage of such a good deal, or will I just kill it. I drop my PV on a concrete floor frequently (work hazard), and I'm wondering if the eVic can stand up to that. My iTaste MVP takes a licking and keeps on ticking, so do my 808s, but...will the eVic?

Evic's are more like cell phones in this respect. Some drops end up ok, but others do damage. It's not in the same league as the MVP for drop survival.

I havent dropped mine yet, bit wouldn't be surprised if it stopped working if I dropped in on concrete like you describe. This one stays at home and gets used on the couch with a carpeted floor.

It'll probably break if you drop it on a concrete floor moderately hard. In my opinion. I own one and its just not a durable mod in the least. Pretty cool though.

From what I have heard they hold up pretty well.

If you really have that much trouble holding on to your mod, get the Provari. At least if you bust it, it is US manufacture and US repair.

I really like my Evic, but for the situation you describe (hitting a concrete floor), I don't think it's a good choice. It may survive one drop on concrete, but I doubt it would shrug off repeated drops.

eVic is recently structrural enhanced, its front cap will not poped off that easily, but after all it's a electronic device, and i will not treat my 120 bucks thing so carelessly

Advice from a mechanic...the vamo is for work and the evic is for leisure....its an important tool so an inexpensive back up like a 900 mah plain ego battery is a good idea anyways.

Could also get an O-ring and make a lanyard out of it.

not probably it will google the evic recall look at images joyetech wont honor the recall either i still like it just not very durable get a lava tube or provari for durability last one you will ever need

With all the talk of them being so easy to break, I have been very careful with mine, I put a bunch of o-rings around it, I have only knocked over twice. The thing about it, that I am wondering about, is how long is the control head going to last? It seems like somehow, the settings on it, just go wonky on me sometimes. Today it started just turning it self off, just after I used it. That happened 3 times, now I have been using it for 3 hours and its never turned it self off. I do like all the options with it though, this is the first devise that I have had with the vv vw options on it, but now after all the reading I have done, I will be getting a provari sometime, just because I need something, that I don't have to worry about dropping.

Don't bother with the eVic then mate. If it doesn't break the first time,it will most likely break the second. I've never dropped mine besides knocking it over (which eventually killed it's threads) but just the thought scares me to death.
