Hey Guy!

I have a questions for some of the more experienced vapors. I have been vaping on and off now for a few years and just recently got serious about vaping this month. I recently picked up an Innokin MVP2 and also purchased some of the top-selling tanks like the Aspire Nautilus and Kanger Aerotank and some mini Kanger PT3's.

Now, my question is, do any of your experienced vapors who have similar set-ups still use cig-a-likes? I am thinking about getting a G6 starter kit strictly for use in public because I don't feel comfortable using my mod in public. Do any of you feel that cig-a-likes are just not even usable now that you have used mods? I am worried that I am going to buy this thing and just not even want to use it due to being used to mods.

What do you guys think?

Most of us that have or had mods use the Tritons in public. Some people use the g6 still too, personally though a 650 triton and tank or carto is plenty small enough to fit in your hands or pockets

I own a Triton as well, but I just don't like having a tank system in public. This is why I am considering just getting the White G6 with tan blanks.

Hi ya Cave123 and welcome I use the G6 in public and the Triton at home. I don't mod though but the cartos will be less flavor and vapor from what your use to and you may need to up your nic level just for the cartos.

Wellll hello there ;)

Yeah, I don't know if I am going to get it. I feel like I am just not going to enjoy it after using all these mods and tank systems. I used to own a G6 but I just can't remember what it was like using it. I just want to hear that somebody else is using cig-a-likes and what their thoughts are on using them after getting used to more advanced devices.

I have various mods, but the only ones I use in public are the small Tritons - either the 400mah or the 650 mah. I don't take the vv Triton out because it's so long. The flavor from the Triton tanks is so much better than anything on a cigalike. If I did use a small carto, I'd have to up my nic level considerably to get the same nic fix LOL

I was there with you. I kept telling myself that people are gonna freak when they see me sucking on that light saber. I got over that quickly.

I vape in public on my ProVari here in the states. I don't go cruising down the aisles at Walmart blowing clouds mind you, but when I'm outside it's vape on! I want folks to know that I'm not smoking, but using an APV especially smokers. If I can get off the smokes they can also. If I can save a life or two then the funny looks are worth it.

When I was in Singapore I was a little more discrete and only used my Tritons as technically vaping is illegal there.

Nice, Goph. I'm with you on this.

Halo long Triton VV in public. I'm proud to own it and use it.

Life is too short to vape anything other than great juice in great devices.

The wonderful thing about Tribeca is that it's not picky about voltage - it's fabulous in any device at any temperature! And I'm way older than most (all?) other Halons, so for me to vape in public is a statement in itself....

Hello Cave123! I hear what you're sayin'. I have mods and stuff too, but keep my G6 on hand for those moments when I think I want a cig. I put a tobacco flavor in and vape away. I just realized how these flashbacks are all interwoven from some kind of psychological triggers. hmmmm.... doing something for decades kinda gets implanted in the brain I guess...lol. Anyway, I'm glad I kept mine, cuz ya never know when it will hit ya. Best to keep your arsenal at the ready, so you can 'lock n load' if need be! lol Good luck and happy vaping!

I want folks to know that I'm not smoking

This is how I feel as well. I am way too proud of being 4 years smoke free, I would DIE if someone thought I was smoking a real cigarette again.
As for the OP, I was a die-hard G6 user and loved them, until I got the Triton. I thought I would still use the G6 at work, but even though I carry them with me everyday I haven't taken one out of the case and vaped it in weeks. It just feels like such a weak system after being used to the Triton.

I ditched my cig-a-likes when I got my Tritons. I never looked back. The 900 mAh are big, but they're just so awesome. I even have cartos and a mini tank, but I only ever used them on my Triton batteries.

I rarely use my 1'300 VV in public (from another vendor). It's just... big.

Is the desire to use a cig-a-like more popular with women? I wonder.

Boom. That's me all the way. I'm vaping clouds outside and don't worry about what others think. And like you said, at least they know you're not smoking a real cigarette. Good post!

It's all a matter of perspective.

I started with the Triton and moved up to mods, a Provari and a Vamo.

When I wanna be "discreet" in public, my Triton 650 is what I grab. And by "discreet" I mean I don't wanna hear "Is that an APV in your pocket or are you happy to see me?" :)

I'm sitting at work now, with my Provari + Kayfun Lite and Vamo + AeroTank.

Honestly I don't think I could get over such a thing. I just don't like the idea of people staring at me trying to figure out what I am sucking on while driving. Also, with the way the police are REALLY cracking down on driver's who speak on their phone I am worried that they may mistake my box mod as a cell phone on speaker or something. Just overall I don't like the idea of using a mod while driving. That is why I want that authentic white G6 with the tan blanks to look exactly like a cig while in public.

It is less about wanting a cigarette and more about wanting a device that looks like a cigarette. Not for me, but for everyone else around that is seeing me vape...
