As the others said eGo Twist or Vision Spinner 2 batteries. A couple different delivery systems (i.e. carto, carto/tank, atty, clearo) to see what you like best.

Get some juice. I personally found it was easier for me to quit by staying away from tobacco flavored liquids. That's me though not everyone.

Make sure you keep water handy. Vaping dehydrates. If you get a scratchy feeling in your throat dry mouth, these are signs you need more water.

Thanks responses. Prefer something that look like a real cig, rechargeable, liquid refill and durable. Must be durable because of my job.

Hi frodo,
I think you might like the Smokeless Image ecigs then. Here's a pic of what they carry next to a real cig:

I'd suggest a starter kit with two 78mm batteries:
Smokeless Image | The Best Electronic Cigarette

The smaller batteries like the ones I linked above will last about 2.5 hours of vaping before needing a recharge. I'd also recommend picking up one of their bigger Spinners - they'll last longer and you may find them good at home. They also have variable voltage so you can adjust the temperature:
Smokeless Image | Only The Best Electronic Cigarette | Volt Spinners - Variable Voltage Battery

They sell their own juice and also carry a juice line called Nicquid:
Smokeless Image | Only The Best Electronic Cigarette | NicQuid | Blend Collection - Tobaccos

That's a link to the tobacco flavors - they have others.
You can basically get everything you need there.

I've used them and still use the Volt X2s, and I keep my smaller Volts for certain places too. Good ecigs for a starter and they have a good reputation here.

I would recommend the eroll. You do not need to take it apart to recharge. The charger case (PCC) lasts me all day. You may want a u-can to easily refill. The cartridges are smallish. For a larger cartridge option and small changeable batteries (you can carry several) the ecab is a nice (but larger) option. I have both. My personal fave is the eroll.

I would recommend china liquids (dekang)at first..they will not need steeping. You can experiment with US vendors as you get going.

All the advise you have been given is good to get you started. The thing I would advise is get started, your mind will keep wanting you to smoke cigs it does not want to change to the unknow.
Also buy 2 units you need that back up so you don't start up cigs agian if battery goes bad or simply needs charging.

Let's see -there are probably thousands of posts about having to have something that looks like a cig on here and then thousands of posts 3weeks later about how the cig-alikes just aren't cutting it- vapor wise or the constant battery charging. How many have said I wish I had been smarter and done more research.

I wasn't one of those myself - found the ciggish sizes worked well for me. But that is why I also recommended getting a Volt Spinner as well as a couple of cig size Volts. :)

I personally alternated between vaping and anologs for about the 1st month til i somewhat got used to my pv device. One day i just made the decision to use only my ecig and havent gone back. Almost 3 years! Its ok to do both for a little bit but i suggest setting a date you plan to throw out your analogs and really give vaping a chance to take over. You will not regret it, i thoroughly enjoy vaping WAY more than i ever did smoking!

Work graveyard and just got home to find all these responses...wow. I guess misery does like company. Tonight I am going to check with one of the guys I work with who started these things last NOV because his wife said "quit smoking". Took two hits last week out of curiosity, so I guess that's why I'm here. Will let you know. So here is my big question. I really need to quit smoking, but changing the delivery method doesn't break the habit does it? Or am I not seeing something here? Last time I quit was for 2 1/2 years, them...well...you know the story. Will check back tomorrow. Thanks again.
