She also likes ME to change the coils, fill the tanks (I finally have her charging her own mods....).
Situation is reversed in my household. I’m fully invested in vaping as a hobby and learning everything I can. The hubby vapes what I put in his hand and hasn’t ever filled a tank or changed a coil. As long as he isn’t smoking (actually, smoking less, he does duel use when not around the family) I’m happy to take care of it all.

@optsmk ... MY MAN...

You just did the vaping equivalent of asking a bunch of females what the best purse looks like.

Take @ScottP's advice about the shopping trip. If it doesn't work and she hates it at least you'll have a backup.
Not all women are into purses. I used to carry a bolt bag as a purse to work. No joke.

Not really. Purses are easy. Anyone who is married or has a long term relationship knows that it's Louis Vuitton hands down.
No term relationship would have me wanting a LV purse. Or leather handbag of any sort. Or a diamond.

@optsmk I think my Wismec SINUOUS P80 TC is pretty. And it is lovely to hold. It is lightweight as well. (Please ignore the snake).

I don't want fancy purses, the highest I will go is Nine West (and yes, at Marshalls, so like $25 dollars). To be honest, when purchasing some backup vapes, I did buy some with the husband in mind (after he said he was going to switch to vaping) and then Christmas morning, I just gave him various selections to choose from, plus my own backup vape (a black zelos mod). He chose my backup steampunk, that was hard LOL. He doesn't seem interested in a plethora of vapes, but it was nice to give him a few different choices when he was ready. I gave him two N2s, because why shouldn't he start with them like everyone else (I did briefly consider offering over my P3 with the Kabuki on it, but as he learned to use his vapes, I was happy I started him with the N2, like everyone else.)

He can have that setup if he stops dual using.

I would suggest something cute and inexpensive, to start, and maybe once your GF is up and vaping, she can select (with your help) something else. I know I thought the "perfect vape" would get my husband quitting easier and did buy an antique mech mod from the classifieds, but despite being an engineer who helped me build coils and etc., when it comes to quitting smoking, he is as loopy and new as anyone else, so I'm glad I didn't overdo it. If you get something expensive, do get something like the Jac-B where if she hates vaping and doesn't want to, it's a setup she could use. Otherwise, I'd seriously go for something less expensive, small, easy to operate, and cute. I still think a Tarot mini is a decent choice, or something like a Pico may in rainbow if she likes shiny and etc. Although I have to say, I am not the hugest fan of the Melo III for a starter tank, but you could get something else, color wise, that matches one of the brighter colors of the Pico, and I think they make them in resin now, that might be nice with a tank color that would match the (silver is it?) accent notes and etc. to make a nice, but not super expensive, large, or complicated setup.

Best of luck,

Anna

I'm not a female, but I have shopped mods with my daughter. Like LyLyV said, she likes something portable that will fit easily in a purse. Not a long tube mod like below, she might mistakenly think it should be used for something else ;):

Just no.

Possibly consider a pod mod

She also likes colors, especially pink and purple, but I consider her a girly-girl. Below is a popular, long-running thread mostly populated by the female species:

This gender stuff is weird. Just get something that looks good, is functional (i.e., not going to be trash in a year), and can be carried around.

I am 100 percent female. I was using a jigsaw at the age of 8 and keep my toolbox in my living room. No joke. Get her something YOU would use.

Personally, I would not want a pod mod. Ever. Give me something I can clean out, fill myself, and reuse. (I also refuse to use a Kurig. If I drank coffee, that is.)

My daughter is just a recreational, social vaper. She knows how to fill a tank and change a pre-made coil, but that's just about it and doesn't want to learn much more.

Many of the newer pod mods you can refill and reuse. If someone wants super convenience and a nearly failsafe setup, a pod mod may fit the bill. Which pod systems allow you to add your own e-liquid?

Maybe. But this is where education comes in. At the end of the day one is going to want something they are going to hate in a year.

Maybe. My nephew has been vaping for two years (previous smoker). He really got into the hobby aspect early on, building his own coils and cloud chasing with powerful high wattage mods. Six months ago he purchased a pod mod for stealth vaping at work. He recently told me he has been using it almost exclusively because he can transport it in his front shirt pocket, and rarely uses his powerful mods.

It just goes to show that mods and vapers come in all sizes, shapes, and types. It's impossible and possibly foolish to exclude one type based on preconceived notions. I appreciate your opinion, though. :)

Point taken. I have been drawn to those tiny things myself. Don't tell anyone, but I vape in the bathroom at school. I justify it by telling myself the smell of my melon juice has to be better than any other smell that is going on there, haha

I don't pif or sell some of my older attys I purchased before finding my everyday sweet spot. I do enjoy changing it up from time to time. May only have a higher watt tank out for a few days, but truly enjoy it while I'm using it. Nice thing is now that I diy I can mix up a lower mg juice for it when I feel the urge coming on.
