Question for VV Splash Users

I just recieved a VV Splash in a trade and its acting odd. Might be normal let me know. So I'm running a LR Boge in a tank at 4v. If I chain vape, the device shuts off for a sec in mid drag, and then restarts its self. I thought it might be my trustfire batteries, but its doing the same thing with 2 IMR AW's. Is it overheating? A short somewhere? Any ideas?
