Ive tried several "vape shop" tobacco flavors and most were pretty terrible to say the least. The ones that actually tasted like anything tasted like a cigarette smells NOT like they taste when you actually smoke one. Is this the flavor you guys mix or are you mixing flavors that actually resemble smoking a cigarette not sniffing an unlit one?

If I made a mix that tasted like a burning cigarette I would probably throw it out.

The last cigarette that I "tasted" was very bland, kinda sour and had almost no vapor(smoke). It was so weak that I had to check to make sure it wasn't broken.

I mix a lot of tobacco flavors. Some "resemble" a smoking cigarette, but taste much better IMO.

It's possible to make a mix that is real close to burning tobacco and paper, I just don't really chase that flavor. It's just too easy to make it better.

It's probably pretty close to impossible to get a vape to taste exactly like a burning cigarette, for a very good reason: nothing is burning. Burning actually gives a very bitter taste, and by the time one is enough of a vaper to start making DIY juice, most want nothing to do with that sort of burnt bitter taste.

The Virginia (high-PG) ejuice I got from MyFreedomSmokes was *similar* to the taste of Virginia Slims; at least, close enough to be a good substitute for me. But really not *the same* which kinda messed with me when I had 4 days of no vaping during my extreme illness following my appendectomy last summer.

Tobacco Express "Virginia" flavoring is very close to that taste.

One flavoring I'm playing with lately is Inawera's "Coffee Tobacco"; it really nails both flavors, even the scent, it's not sweet at all, in fact it's rather bitter like both coffee and tobacco, but it's a different sort of taste entirely, from that Virginia I used to like; a "rounder" scent, more like pipe tobacco.

But for the most part, what you said is true: tobacco vapes taste more like an unlit cigarette smells -- I used to run my unlit cigarettes under my nose for quite a while before lighting them, that scent was so intriguing. You'll find that the longer you are away from actual cigarette smoke, the more you'll be glad that vaping tastes nothing like that. :D In the meantime, for DIYing tobacco vapes, there's a flavor additive that can be used, to give a more "authentic" (less sweet) taste, called Bitter Wizard -- I used it with that Tobacco Express "Virginia," and it helped a great deal. One or 2 drops at most, is all you need, and it really eliminates that sweet whang that most tobacco flavors carry.

There are several excellent tobacco juices out there like NET.com's Big Spirit, Want2Vape's Analog and Pure Smoke, as well as GoodEjuice's Analog, Full Throttle, High Octane and their highly excellent Patriot. There are many others and you can DIY your own with concentrates from NET.com or MyVapeJuice. Both have a huge selection of DIY NET concentrates or their respective already mixed juice.

Or, like me, you can extract your own concentrates directly from pipe and cigar tobacco.

Ahhh thanks as always for the replies. It was more of a curiosity question than anything because i see a lot of DIY tobacco recipes on here. When i first started vaping i really wanted a juice that tasted like i was smoking an actual cigarette but that wAs over 2 1/2 years ago and at the time smoking a fruit or a peanut butter cookie just seemed like it would be really weird. I have several friends atm that are trying to quit smoking and they are just like i was when i quit. They are having a hard time finding something to replace that "good morning first cigarette of the day" taste.

In that case, they'll most likely never find it -- the very first non-tobacco flavor I vaped was for that "early morning smoke", an apple-cinnmon flavor, because I realized pretty quickly that that first vape in the morning would never taste like a real first cigarette, so better to start with something sweet -- vapor always tastes sweet to me when I first wake up, no matter what it is. Once your mouth gets used to that sweet flavor with something that *actually is* sweet, then you can switch off to a tobacco flavor, and it tastes somewhat more like a real smoke.

Danny and Ohio nailed it, that hangsen flavor taste exactly like marlboro like Ohio said, a fresh off the production line str8 to the store and you get it.

Its so close other than a tad sweet its unbelievable.. The sweet can be fixed too with FA bitter wizard..

Its great with a dash of menthol..

I digress, tho I love a few tobacco's esp that one, are still looking for a proper pipe flavor like my favorite house mix I used to smoke..

That Bitter Wizard is awesome for tobacco vapes!

I've been enjoying this smoky cappucino whose recipe I've been playing with for a couple months now. It's very smoky to me, along with the lightly-sweetened coffee taste, but it doesn't stink to my husband as some smoky vapes do. Big plus!! The Inawera Coffee Tobacco is a very authentic tobacco scent, very smoky, but the coffee is strong too, and aromatic; mixed with quite a few other things like chocolate and vanilla and hazelnut and tobacco absolute, with a large proportion of sweet cream, it's delicious.
