May I ask why you're mixing them? Did you try them mixed before now and like the taste? If not, I'm inclined to say that they just don't taste all that good all mixed up like that.

Sure you may ask... :)

Yes, I'm mixing as thought it would give a kick to the juice and put a spin on the vape.... So your thinking due to me mixing is the possible result that I'm tasting this taste then?

I think it's a possibility, for sure. They may all taste good individually but together, maybe not. Could just be that. But as Concat said, if you have a way of trying the juice out on another pv you may be able to pin it down more easily.

Did you try them individually before mixing them together? If you did and they were good alone, then I am even more inclined to say it's the mixture.

Could be a combination of things. Do you have other hardware to try the juice out on? Eliminate some variables...

Yes, I have 5 bottles that I will try from to eliminate from.... TY

If it's all PG base how are you getting any vapor?

Its a 50/50 mix.... Tons of vape...

Yes I have several PV's that I can test on.... Looks like the possible cause is pointing to the mixing that I am messing with...

Will post back my results tomorrow...

Thanks all

PG is the flavor enhancer- cut back on the VG IMO.

When I order the juice they ask... "Base PG or VG", so I always choose PG then like I stated on topic 24/28mg strength.

Now I'm real confused as thought PG was a mix base as was the VG but VG from my reading was supposed to be thicker. Not understanding the chemistry obviously behind the making of the juice - sorry.

No need to apologize- we are all here learning IMO. I've DIY approx. 9000 ml juice.
"Generally" pre made juices are 70/ 30 PG/ VG or 80/ 20 PG/ VG
PG= TH, Lung Hit and flavor enhancer
VG= vapor
Nicotine= TH, Lung Hit and our need for nic.
If someone wants more VG then because it's thick and doesn't flow properly some will add a small amount of PGA, vodka or distilled water. Some say these give a TH while others say it adds harshness and is not nice- don't know as I've never used them.
My mixes started out at the above #'s and that's what I mix for friends but, for myself, I now mix a 60/ 40 PG/ VG and add in extra flavor because I enjoy the vapor but also the flavor.
So from what I understand you're mixing flavors + nic PG based juice?
My nic juice is PG based as it's easier to work with than VG based nic. Are you using a calculator?

VG is vegetable glycerin and is more of a natural sourced liquid made from coconut or palm oil. PG is propylene glycol, a synthetic creation made from crude oil and it's a petroleum product. Of course, we know that petroleum is an animal/vegetable source created by the decay of plants, animals, and sea life over millions of years.

Now, after that, didn't your last vape taste a little funny? ;)

For what it's worth, I think I know what he's referring to. I have always found that PG vapor has a kind of cool (as in temperature) "dusty" smell to it, particularly noticeable in fog machines which otherwise have no scent (and obviously, no flavour). I tend to ignore it for the most part but if think about it I can certainly "taste" the "dusty" aspect of it through smell. It's just the nature of propylene glycol. I find that VG does help kind of smooth it out some though.

I always ask the fine folks at MLV to make my mix 70/30 because their default mix is 50/50 which i find to be too flavorless, plus you should try adding some flavor shots! I go the "blue moon" at 70/30 with a flavor shot and it is great, on the other hand i bought the on sale "strawberry candy" at 50/50 no flavor shot and it tastes like nothing.

OK, so I have determined several things...

I cleaned the Extreme out and loaded it up with MLV juice... Still had the awful taste hmmmmm

I took out my eGO-T and filled it with the MLV juice and WOW, could taste the juice and not the awful taste.

I switched back and forth between the two PV's and now have determined that the Extreme is funky, and somehow has become defective, or contaminated really unsure what happened to it (perhaps the mod messed it up)

So today I'm on the eGO-T and all seems good except I do get that cotton mouth when vaping...

Any thoughts of what might have happened to the Extreme as I really did enjoy that unit?

I also have some LR/SR Boge carts that are do in today and looking forward to filling them up as I heard good results with them.
